Pioneered in 1973 by Virginia and Ivan Hasek, the aunt and uncle of Overland founder Jim Leahy, "The Overland Sheepskin Company of Lake Geneva" has grown from one room in the Hasek home into a quality store with a wide selection of fine merchandise. In 1992, Virginia's daughter Mary took over the store, and in 2006, Mary merged the store with the Overland name, expanded the inventory, and moved across the street to the current location at 752 Main. Located in Southeastern Wisconsin, the resort town of Lake Geneva borders Geneva Lake, which offers swimming, sailing, and scenic beauty. The town of Lake Geneva is known for its charming lakeside cottages, excellent golfing, and friendly population of 8,000. And we at Overland Sheepskin are proud to be a part of it.
The first Overland Sheepskin opened in 1973 in a small adobe storefront in Taos, New Mexico, offering sheepskin apparel made with meticulous craftsmanship. More than 40 years, 16 more stores, and one thriving internet business later, the small family shop atmosphere has remained the backbone of our business, a passion for quality matched with exceptional service.
Look us up on your next trip. You'll find a friendly, knowledgeable staff waiting to help you choose the perfect Overland merchandise to suit your needs and taste. We look forward to meeting you.
