looking for this style but want to be able to wear outside for a quick grocery trip or such? are soles up to that kind of wear?

ANSWER:

With gripping traction, the rubber sole allows you to wear them out of the house.

is the insole removable and replaceable? When the wool gets worn down after some years wear, it's nice to be able to replace just the bottom insole with another like it - hopefully from the same company

ANSWER:

The insole is not able to be removed. But you can insert a sheepskin insole when these get worn down. We do carry those as well.

THE best slippers!

This is my second pair of world's best slippers

First pair lasted 3 years, keeping my feet warm in winter and cool in summer. Worth every penny. Did add replacement sherpa insole after 2 years because I wore down originals by wearing every day.

Walking on a warm cloud

The Emma Sheepskin Slipper is like walking a warm cloud. They feel great to slip into after wearing shoes all day. The hard soles make it possible to walk outside to grab the newspaper. I love these slippers and highly recommend them.

complete disappointment..

I bought a pair of these for my 96 yr old Mom who is partially paralyzed from a stroke and suffers from dementia to wear around the house while in her wheelchair... after 16 months I needed to clean them, I used warm water and a rag... needless to say, my hands turned blue and the dye pretty much washed out and I noticed lots of frayed threads and stitching... this was my first and last time doing business with this Company....

fur is too thin

I had a pair of these that I bought way back in the 90s, and they lasted till about 5 years ago. I decided I'd go for another pair although they are more expensive than some brands. The sheepskin fur is not very thick or dense, and I imagine they will compress very quickly. I'm disappointed.

Good, but No longer Great

Over the past several years, I've bought many pairs of this exact style slipper. This most recent purchase felt like it was made by a different company. It did not feel as substantial. And, the shearling lining is nowhere near as silky soft as it was in all of my past orders. Now these slippers feel like the less expensive brands I bought before I discovered Overland. I'm pretty disappointed. They're good enough (not for the price) but they are no longer the softest, cushiest, silliest, angel cloud-like thing I've ever put my feet into. Please change back to the perfect product you sold previously, Overland!
