Currently my favorite article of clothing
I live on the Oregon Coast, where it's not so much the cold as the damp. We rarely dip below freezing, but we have months of rain and wind.
So I splurged for my January birthday on a set of these Ethan merino slippers, and I love them. The feel of the merino pelt is lush and elegant, and my feet stay very warm just about no matter what. I chose a pair with the non-skid plastic soles, so while I wouldn't wear them for a walk on the beach, I can step outside for a moment without worrying that they'll soak up water.
These fit perfectly to size (11 for me, same as shoes) and slip on and off easily. Because of the damp (and the seven spruce trees around our house), I slip out of my Merrells or Blundstones when I come in and pop on the Overlands to keep things tidy. If I'm in heavy socks, I have to pull the heel of the Overlands up with a finger -- as compared to when I'm barefoot, when they slip on like magic.
The memory-foam insole feels lovely too. I expect long wear out of them and hope to continue wearing them with comfort and affection for years.
