Its lofty 2 - 3" pile lends cozy warmth and luxury, while 100% polyester backing keeps the rug in place. Made of fine Australian sheepskin and crafted in either China or New Zealand.

Premium sheepskin has a very high wool density per square inch, making it luxuriously plush and cushiony.

Amazing Softness

Quality rugs are generally larger and more evenly shaped. Each pelt is at least 97 cm—much larger than budget-grade rugs.

Quality Construction

High-quality sheepskin naturally has a luminous, even tone that’s unmarred by stains or discolorations in the underlying wool.

Natural Comfort

While lower-grade sheepskins may have minor holes, cracks, and scratches on their undersides, the leather on a premium-grade sheepskin is evenly textured, with a well buffed, supple feel (and an anti-slip effect).

QUESTION:

Will the wool rug pile hold up to foot traffic near high traffic areas near the furniture? I'm concerned about matting off the fibers.

QUESTION:

Hi! I am thinking of this for our den/family room. Can you vacuum this rug and have there been any issues with shedding?

ANSWER:

You can vacuum on the highest setting or by using an upholstery attachment. You may have some shedding in the beginning. This will dissipate.

QUESTION:

I am thinking about this for our family room, which is a high traffic area and will need cleaning from time to time. What are the cleaning instructions and will it keep its soft texture and quality? We have dogs so it wouldn't be a spot clean, but rather a full rug clean.

ANSWER:

We suggest trying to only spot clean with a mild detergent diluted with cool water, let that sit and then try to blot out as much water as you can and allow to air dry out of direct sunlight. Each time that you use water and detergent on our rugs they will lose some of their natural oils which can leave them not as fluffy and soft. We do send a brush that we advise you use and that will help keep up the appearance of the rug.

Exceptional quality

This is the most beautiful soft rug I've ever purchased and I've bought many other rugs throughout the years. I keep stop walking on it in my bare feet , it's like a spa in my room. The quilted backside is incredible and so well made, I'm definitely going to purchase smaller ones to put around my new home.

Perfect!

I love our new Overland rug. I had some concerns that the website pictures were hard to decern, but the rug actually looks just as the website shows. The rug is so soft and plush, I could lie on it all day. Overland customer service was top notch and shipping was quick. I couldn't recommend Overland more!

Strikingly beautiful area rug

This sheepskin area rug is absolutely gorgeous. Arrived lightning fast and packaged well. Beautiful right out of the box. Only thing that could be improved are the teeny little somewhat flimsy brushes sent to groom the rug. For a rug this massive, a larger, sturdier brush is needed. Regardless, thrilled with this purchase.
