When tagging Overland merchandise, please do so according to the following specifications.
Coats, Jackets, Vests
IMPORTANT: As these garments will be on hangers, the price side of the hangtag should face the garment and the Overland logo should face outward.
Coats/Jackets: Insert the tag into the seam in the lower LEFT sleeve, just above the wrist. Push the needle of the tagging gun through a seam created by the stitching. DO NOT make a hole in the product with the needle of the tagging gun.
Vests: Insert the tag into the top of the LEFT side seam. Push the needle of the tagging gun through a seam created by the stitching. DO NOT make a hole in the product with the needle of the tagging gun.
Clothing, Ponchos, Capes
IMPORTANT: Barcodes should be facing up and visible so they can easily be scanned. If product is bagged barcode must be visible through the clear plastic.
Shirts and Sweaters: Insert the tag into a seam in the lower LEFT sleeve, just above the wrist. Alternatively, you can insert the tag inside the back of the collar, into a seam, with the tag displayed at the front of the shirt. Clothing that is shipped in plastic should be tagged inside the back of the collar, into a seam, (or label) with the barcode/price displayed at the front of the garment visible through the plastic to make warehouse scanning easy.
Ponchos and Capes: Insert the tag into the label, not through the fabric.
Pants: Insert the tag into the LEFT side seam, near the waist.
Hats, Gloves, Shawls/Shawls
IMPORTANT: Barcodes should be facing up and visible so they can easily be scanned and if merchandise is bagged barcode must be visible through the clear plastic.
Hats: Insert the tag on the elastic or fabric band inside the hat. However, if the hat has seams on the outside, insert the tag through the LEFT seam, being very careful not to punch a hole in the leather, fabric, or sheepskin.
Gloves/Mittens: Insert the tag through the label inside the LEFT glove/mitten, or through the outside seam, just below the wrist. Push the needle of the tagging gun through the seam created by the stitching. DO NOT make a hole in the product with the tagging gun needle.
Scarves/Shawls: Insert the tag on the label or at the LEFT end of the scarf/shawl, on a seam. Product shipped in plastic should have the barcode/price displayed so that it is visible through the plastic and easily scanned by our warehouse.
Belts: Loop the tag around the belt or near the buckle.
Slippers, Shoes, Boots, Socks
Slippers, Shoes, and Boots: All boxes with a shoe box lid: place the Overland retail barcode sticker in the lower left corner on the short end of the box.
Shoe boxes that have a hinged lid: place the Overland retail barcode sticker in the lower left corner on the end that has the hinge on the left side. Thus allowing the shoe box to open right to left.
If footwear is not boxed, use a tagging gun to attach tag through a fabric label, either on the inside or outside of the LEFT shoe. If your footwear is shipped without shoe boxes, let us know and we will send paper hangtags.
Socks/Display Card Items
Socks/Display Card Items: Accessories such as socks that have a display card should have the sticky price tag affixed. If a vendor tag exists with barcodes, it should be covered with the Overland sticky tag so that our internal barcode is easily scanned.
Rugs, Cowhides and Pillows
IMPORTANT: Barcodes should be facing up and visible so they can easily be scanned. If product is bagged barcode mmust be visible through the clear plastic.
Pelts & Rugs: Insert the tag at the bottom left corner of the rug or pelt with fur face up.
Cowhide Rugs: Stick the sticky tag on the underside of the left corner (left rear leg) on the back side. Affix a piece of clear packing tape slightly larger than the tag over the tag to assure it doesn't fall off.
Pillows & Bagged/Packaged Items: For pillows, insert the tag into the fabric label or through a seam. For items that come in a bag or packaging, stick the sticky tag on a blank corner (preferably the LEFT corner).
Bags & Wallets/Small Leathergoods
Bags: Loop the tag around one of the bag handles. If a bag does not have handles the tag can be looped through a zipper pull.
Wallets/Small Leathergoods: Insert the paper hangtag inside the wallet in one of the credit card slots, preferably behind a plastic window or inside being sure the barcode is visible and easily scanned. Wallets should also be wrapped in plastic or bagged and a second sticky hangtag should be stuck on the outside for ease in scanning out the product from our warehouse to our stores (the plastic will be removed at the store and the inside tags scanned to ring up the sale). IF YOU FEEL that the paper hangtag will not mar the outside of the wallet, the paper hangtag can be placed under the plastic with the barcode facing up in which case double tagging will not be necessary (the store will remove the plastic and place the paper tag inside the wallet upon receipt from our warehouse)
Seat Covers & Car Accessories
Seat Covers: The seatcovers need to be tagged in the seam underneath the elastic strap on the left (if the seatcovers were physically on the car seat, the tag should be placed in the seam that is underneath the elastic strap to the left side of where the passenger would be sitting). When in pairs, it is important that the seatcover straps are tied together to avoid separation.
Car Accessories: Insert the tag through the seam where the sheepskin joins the velcro (not through the velcro).
