Pretty close to perfect
Since I discovered Overland a couple years ago, I have made probably a score of purchases. I have returned all but 4 or 5, the vast majority just to try and then return. So I have learned a thing or two about Overland. Enough had been said about the great customer service. The Zachary is an exquisite, fine jacket even by Overland standards. The distressed leather is beautiful and soft and ready to wear, although probably not durable like cow leather that dominates a company like Schott. There's something about the American made jackets from overland that are so well made and are so comfortable, as compared for example to the jackets made in India. The fit for me, so important in a jacket, is unique to the American jackets at Overland. For me it's worth the price. The paneling is also outstanding, that is it's made from bigger pieces of leather. I love the collar which is why i chose it over similar jackets at Overland. Even though it is more expensive than many alternatives, it is quite a bit cheaper than, say, the Barcelona, which while very similar, has clearly inferior paneling, and a less clean and elegant look.
