Sonora boots are my go-to brand

This is my second pair of this brand to purchase. I buy this brand of boots because they are made the way boots should be made, with a leather lining and a leather last. This pair is true cowboy boot style. Despite its height, the shaft easily fits inside boot-cut Levi jeans. (Photo is not wearing boot-cut jeans; size 10) The turquoise trim is eye-catching, high quality stitching. I like supporting a company of women making women's boots. I find the fit is true to size.

It started out with some innocent window shopping...

My boyfriend and I were visiting Denver from California and stopped in this store just to look around. We eventually separated, as couples do inside department stores, when I stumbled across this gorgeous pair of boots. Having never owned a pair of cowboy boots, let alone tried a pair on, I gave these a whirl. I had one boot on and my boyfriend rounded the corner and I heard an, "Oh my God. Those are SO you." I looked up and Ryan's jaw was on the floor. I laughed, but with plans to move to Texas in the next couple months, they had to come home with me.
