You’ll be steady on your feet and wonderfully warm in the Norway leather boots, crafted from waterproof Italian cowhide. These ankle-high boots with a side YKK zipper keep you slip-free no matter the weather, thanks to ice-gripping Italian thermo-rubber outsoles. Wool lining and plush shearling trim at the collar offer insulation and breathability, while supportive construction lends comfort and stability.

This boot is crafted with an intentionally unlined heel, which prevents socks from catching and heels from rubbing, enabling a more secure and comfortable fit.

The liner is not able to be removed. The lining of this boot is wool.

It looks like the spikes can be retracted if wearing these indoors or dry conditions. Is the tool required to retract? Ie do i have to keep it in my pocket if going in and out of slippery places?
Answer:
The ice gripper does not come off the boot. You flip them to one side for use indoors and flip to the other side for slippery places. You do not need a tool to do this.

Question:
Do these boots have a temperature rating?
Answer:
I have a new pair and am disappointed - unlike my other overland boots, I do not find these warm when it's cold enough to need the ice grippers. The cold comes in from the bottom, through the sole. So expensive to not be able to wear them in cold weather. :(

Hi, I love the idea of ice grippers! All the boots look amazing.I have a couple questions. Is the lining shearling? For how cold of a weather? Are they slippery if ice grippers are not spikes on? Or do they have a special outsole? Is the weight in description for one shoe or a pair? How long would it take to ship them to WA? Thank you!

Pretty comfy but interior lining looked used

Great boot, very cute and comfortable. The whole interior is not sheet wool, its just on the top lining. I was disappointed about that. Otherwise they do great on snow and ice!

Wonderful qualy

I love these boots! They are very warm and comfortable. With the lining they are just a bit tight but when it flattens out they will be wonderful. I have walked and hiked in wet areas and my feet never get wet. They are also very easy to clean.

These boots are very warm and very comfortable. I bought two sizes to determine the best fit, intending to return the size that did not fit. I did not get to make the return-my daughter saw the boots, tried them on and top the pair that did not fit me home! I would buy them again! I almost cannot wait for snow and ice so I can wear them!

Possibly the best boots I have owned

Just received these beauties in time as it is currently snowing in northern Michigan. They fit like a DREAM even with smart wool socks on (I have a narrow foot and many boots are too wide). Very adjustable for calf size given laces and zipper. Excellent quality and style. These are replacing my 22 year old sheepskin boots from other high end manufacturer and I am sure they will last at least that long. I am SUPER excited about the retractable cleats - this is not well described on the site but you can see it in the pictures. I look forward to having stability on snowy icy trails in the coming months, and then flipping cleats away to drive or go inside - INGENIOUS design.

Icy winter walking is still in these boots future but the appearance and fit are excellent. The design allows the wearer to use the steel spikes or not. A small tool is included to flip the spikes into place but the repositioning can be done without the tool as well. An extra pair of shoe laces are included. Almost looking forward to winter!

Good Quality, Slightly Small

I purchased these in August so haven't had the opportunity to test out warmth and durability, but so far the quality seems great and not a heavy boot. I will add the shearling liner does add bulk so I would size up if you are in between sizes. Usually a 7.5 and the size 38 was too tight. The 39 fit better, although still a bit snug if wearing thicker socks.
