These boots are GORGEOUS! fun and stylish and they go with almost ANYTHING - even sweater dresses. Recently traveled to Northern Europe and there was a lot of snow and a lot of walking. My feet stayed dry, comfortable, and warm in 25• F (-4• C). And yes, I did walk through some snow; when the snow melted on the boot, the inside of the boot remained dry. The boots do seem warmer WITHOUT socks (maybe the sheepskin liner needs to be directly against the feet); and if you want to wear thick socks, you definitely need to order one half or maybe even a full size larger. Shouldn't need thick socks though; the boots are very warm.
