Are the insoles removable?

Hello. The insole of the Ilka Boots is not removable. Thank you!

Are these boots comfortable without socks?

We do have many customers that wear our wool lined boots without socks. That would be a personal preference.

Are these boots waterproof?

Thank you for reaching out to Overland, they are not waterproof but are water-resistant

Do they have a Metal shank? I need to go through a metal detector at an airport severe times a day

The Ilka does not have a steel shank.

For the very bottom of the boot, do you use rubber soles? (Or, are they polyurethane?)

The sole is made of thermoplastic rubber (TPR).

How big is the toe box? Any issues for those of us with a bunion?

This is a medium width boot along the footbed. We do offer free returns if the boots don't meet your needs.

Are these boots stuck at 13" circumference, or does that expand with the lacing? I have 15" calves and am curious if I can wear them. Thank you!

The description says 13" shaft, 16" circumference - 13 is the height - circumference means around the calf. Circumference is the length of a circle.

This striking boot is expertly crafted with water-resistant leather from Italy, and the addition of a wool lining ensures warm, comfortable feet. All details are well considered, from the full length inside the zipper + pull tab for easy on and off to the leather trim with contrasting topstitch detail, and lace-up front design for added style and support.

These boots are temperature rated down to 5°F in moderate activity, such as walking.

In love with these boots

These are the best boots I've ever purchased. They are sized correctly. The colors are exactly like the photo. Haven't worn them out, but I posted this photo on Facebook and got a lot of compliments. Honestly, I normally wouldn't spend this much on boots, but I had to have them. They are unique and I don't expect to see many others wearing them.

Gorgeous boots!

These arrived last week and they are gorgeous. I only wish I'd got them earlier in the season as there is little opportunity to wear them now. I still did a lovely walk through the woods in them yesterday, and they are comfortable and toasty warm.

LOVED!!

I absolutely loved the quality, design, and look of these boots! They're beautifully made!! Unfortunately, I have to return them because my feet are a bit wide and the bridge felt just a little too high, so they weren't as comfortable as I'd hoped. The size itself was perfect, so going up a size wouldn't quite solve the fit issue.
