Women’s Gaia Merino Wool-Lined Waterproof Wool Felt and Leather Ice Gripper Boots

Very comfortable and warm. Live in Alaska and my wife can't stop wearing them.

I'm usually a size 40 in boots. I got the 39 and 40. I kept the 39 it's a little tight but fit much better I found the 40 to be way to large my heels slide around and the shaft around my ankles was baggy. In terms of warmth ehh I definitely have warmer boots I wouldn't were these under 20 degrees. In terms of traction they have fantastic grip. So far they are waterproof as well.

The quality, workmanship, and materials surpassed what I was expecting and was pleasantly surprised! As soon as I put them on, I fell in love with them again:-) I wore them in our first big snow fall and they kept my feet warm and dry.

They are exactly what I was looking for and quality was very good. Keeps me warm in the Norte land of Minneapolis while walking doggie or watching a hockey or apre ski or....

These Gaia boots are beautiful and sleek but the toe box is VERY narrow. Perhaps best for a perfectly straight foot but tricky if the front of your foot is wider than your heel. The upper part of the boot was almost like plain cloth with little hold to it- more like a heavy, flexible sock than a sturdy boot. A very beautiful boot in pictures that surprised me with its quality in person: the sole seemed very good for walking, but there is no support from the ankle up. I was hoping for a stylish boot for real daily use walking the dog and going out and about, but these would not do it for me.

I was looking for a pair of boots that would have really good traction on ice and I settled on these ones (the other ones I was considering are the other ice boots sold by Overland that have the little spikes at the bottom you can flip out when needed). I'm glad I went with these ones because of the tall shaft. I was concerned about its ice gripping abilities because the soles of these ones didn't seem as good for that as the other ice gripper boots but I'm glad those concerns went out the window once I got these boots because I've worn them walking over black ice as well as large frozen puddles and these boots kept me upright in all those situations (and I didn't even have to walk very slowly either). Not only are these boots great for ice, they're VERY warm as well. I always have issues with my feet freezing regardless of how many pairs of socks I wear and these boots have kept my feet warm in below freezing temps (coldest temp I've worn them in so far was around 10F). To a lesser extent I was also concerned about aesthetics because these boots didn't seem as pretty as some other Overland boots but I will say that they look a lot more handsome in person and once you wear them. I got my usual size (US 7) and it fits great. I've got fairly slim legs and calves and the shaft is pretty roomy on my legs, but I can't speak for people who have wider calves. Overall these boots are well worth the price and the only thing that remains is to see how long they can last. Since I got the lighter color, it does show scuff marks more easily but using a non abrasive sponge with some water and gentle soap fixes that completely after you let it dry. If you're on the fence, I'd go for it.

They are comfortable to wear all day and very stylish. Didn't have to break them in. I did size up a size. They are more expensive than I would normally spend.

I purchased these boots as a Christmas gift to myself and I am so glad I did! I had purchased several other boots from other companies and just wasn't finding what I was looking for, until my Gaia Merino boots arrived. Literally the other boots I purchased were returned because I knew the Gaia was the only boot I needed! They are beautiful, warm, and I love the non-skid soles. I also plan on purchasing them in the dark brown.

They are really great. I love the feel, the fit. and the stabilty of the soles. They will diffently keep my feet dry and warm.
