Steven Suede Leather Jacket

I bought my first coat (Lucas) from Overland earlier this year. It exceeded my expectations for quality and style. It is also VERY warm. I had some minor things to address and Overland management was fantastic in their interactions. This is an excellent company. I started thinking it would be nice to have a shoulder season jacket for cooler, but not very cold days and this one caught my eye. At 5-10, 38 chest, 31 waist, and 34.5+ sleeve, I often find things a bit too roomy in the mid-section, tight in the shoulders, and annoyingly short in the arm length. I bought a 38 and it fits perfectly. The arms are perfect and still at my wrist with arms held straight out front, the shoulders are spot on, and while there is room in the mid section, it is about right when zipped up (some room, but not too much). The length is also very nice. I found the collars do lay down despite comments or answers to the contrary, if one preferred that look. In fact, there are so many ways to wear this jacket it can look completely different... both collars up; outer collar down, but inner one up; both collars down; nothing zipped; just the inner part zipped (looks like a vest underneath); the inner part zipped with the outer zipped partially and flaps out (looks very formal); or the whole thing zipped. The quality of this is jacket is also excellent and the weight is heavy enough you know you have on a quality jacket, but not thick or bulky nor too warm. I read all the reviews before making the plunge and appreciate people who take the time to write them and add pictures. Hopefully this helps someone.

This is my second jacket from Overland - my other is the Brian Sheepskin Jacket in Vintage Charcoal - and once again they delivered where most brands fail: proportion. I'm 6'5" and about 250 lbs, and it's genuinely rare to find a suede jacket that's long enough in the body, correct in the sleeves, and still looks refined instead of oversized or boxy. If you're tall, you know the struggle: most jackets stop around 27 inches and end up looking cropped. This one doesn't - it's properly proportioned, with a 29.75" body length. This one fits me perfectly. The suede is smooth, the color is exceptional in person, and the overall cut feels more like a blazer than a casual jacket - tailored, clean, and easy to dress up. The double collar / double-zip setup with lamb-leather trim is a great surprise detail. It doesn't read like "extra layering," it functions more like a built-in guard and adds structure and polish. It has plenty of pockets, though I do wish the external hand pockets were about an inch deeper. My only other nit is the lining: it feels great to the touch, but I'd prefer it cut a bit tighter so it stays in place when moving - especially in the sleeves. Overall: gorgeous, unusually well-proportioned for a tall/broad frame, and for the price it's exceptional value.

This is my 3rd coat from Overland and I love it. It is top quality and very stylish like all my other Overland products.

Beautiful in finish, style and design! I wish it came in other colors and leathers ( smooth nappa like the Lance). I ordered down a size to 38 for a snugger fit (5'7", 170lbs, 42"chest 32" waist and 42" hips with 17" neck) I can zipped all the up but abit snug. Sorry I didn't take a good picture but it is more for the fit
