Stetson Gus Shantung Straw Cowboy Hat

This hat is beautifully made, and fits perfectly. However it arrived with the top of the crown crushed inward, and the hat not only looked awful but the crown pressed down on the top of my head, and the hat did not fit properly. It was obviously packed without proper protection on top of the crown. I was about to send it back to Overland, but I decided to see if I could push the crown back into its correct alignment from the inside of the hat. It worked -- the crushed crown resumed its normal shape after that push, and now the hat fits perfectly. There are a few very small blemishes remaining where the crown had been crushed, but I will be able to live with them. I salute Overland for carrying such fine products as this (and many others that I have purchased from them) however this company should pay closer attention to how crushable hats should be packed for shipment to its customers.

I live at 7,000' in Taos, New Mexico where the sun is powerful. I am outside fly fishing often and always wear a light straw when fishing. This beautiful hat goes everywhere with me unless it's winter when I wear a brown or black JB Stetson beaver felt Gus.

I never thought I was a cowboy hat kind of guy.....this changed everything. Arriving late one evening in Durango, Colorado in December 2018, I was still a little wired from hours of driving on ice and snow through Wolf Pass. A little retail therapy after checking into the General Parker Inn was just what the doctor ordered. Walking into Overland to get something very "Colorado", I found this Stetson in the back , placed it on my head, looked in the mirror, and never thought twice. It was amazing and built for me....and only me. Thank you to Overland for carrying things just as this...which was not my only favorite thing picked up at this great den of retail.

I wear this hat cowboy shooting and I love it. It's just as pictured and it's a Stetson!

Overland service was great. This is my second Stetson straw Gus. Was not thrilled when it first arrived, hat was bent up in front and back. But one quick trip to Silver Spur Western store, and they had it steamed and looking as good as my original Gus! For the service and the price, you can't beat Overland. For the name and quality, you can't beat Stetson!

Outstanding product and service

I really like the hat, as I knew I would when I saw the pictures. It's hard to buy hats on line though because size often varies some between brands. I was more confident buying because of the free shipping both ways. Thankfully, the hat fits well and is quite cool and comfortable. Thanks for the great service. I'll be back.
