For over a year, I had been looking for the right floor covering for my living room; a spattering of antiques with mid-century furnishings and natural findings. I live in Seattle; think eclectic. The only conventional rugs I liked were coming in at 5k; so that was a non-starter. This hide is super high quality and larger than commonly found cowhides. The price point is good and the speckling on it gives it a glam edge vs. a rustic lodge look. The Frenchies love it and no longer chew the edges after I sprinkled ground chili pepper on said edges (can't see it, but it works!) The folds came out quickly and it lays super flat for a hide; don't really need a rug pad either. One day I may lay a natural fiber rug underneath to highlight it more or move it to the bedroom; it's very adaptable - can't go wrong with this piece.
