Half Off for a Reason

I think I got one of the hats that didn't pass quality control, unfortunately. It's soft, true. HOWEVER: The seam of the the front fur section is smack dab in the middle of the forehead. I cannot see it, but I can feel it. It seems (if you'll pardon the pun) like the manufacturer cobbled the hat together with scraps instead of full-cut pieces. Even if it were 75% off the original price of 200 bucks, I'd still return it. A pity really. I thought I was getting a bargain but I just got leftovers. Unless all of them are made like this-- then I'd call it a ripoff. It was the first time I tried Overland. I don't think I'll try again. Too many choices out there to waste my time.

Winter classic for the country or city

In the early aughts, I bought a hat similar to this one, in a market in Florence Italy. That hat kept me warm though many winters. I looked and looked for a replacement, to no luck until I found this one! It's great, wonderful craftsmanship and very soft.

Nice material, poor craftsmanship

The quality of the material is good, but the craftsmanship is poor. Actual product doesn't quite look like the product picture on the website. Pretty disappointing considering the price tag.

WARM and really like the style and quality

Was looking for a stylish, yet warm winter hat, without uncomfortable compression of a knit cap. Definitely the Ushanka look I wanted!

Soft and warm! ...did I mention SOFT and WARM!????

OMG!!! Luckly, I got a great fit on the first try. I wear 7 3/8 and ordered large size and perfect fit!! The leather is supper supple, and the sheep skin is so soft, not scratchy or itchy. I am for the most part completely bald and this is the most comfortable winter had I now own. I never sweat in it. Also, as an aside, I own a pair of Overland's sheep skin lined boots, and they are wonderful as well. I live in Iowa and sometimes it gets to -15 degrees, not often, but it does, and this hat is my best friend!
