Sheepskin Cadet Cap

While I primarily bought this for looks, I was unsurprised to find it proves plenty effective at keeping out the cold. The fur over the head enables balanced warmth without getting excessively toasty, and with the earflaps down it covers far enough forward to protect the cheeks. The build quality is Overland's usual; the materials feel smooth and durable, and the seams are tight and tidy. Extreme winds can defeat the fur around the face and get inside, but on calmer days it's perfectly handy to throw on before stepping out. It's worth nitpicking that the fur is quite darker than the store photos suggest. Additionally, as another reviewer noted, this runs small - being that I typically wear a 61cm hat, I ordered the XL, but found it very uncomfortably tight, and exchanged for a 2XL which fit relaxedly. One benefit of sizing up is that it can be comfortably worn with a balaclava, perfect for more intense weather.

I like the design of this hat. Few hats utilizing sheepskin has a bill for protection of wind and sun light. The fit is very comfortable and warm.

Regret purchase. Never again.

I bought this for my daughter who is student at Purdue. She loves it for those cold mornings when she has a 20 min walk to campus when it's freezing outside. Top quality and comfort!

this hat is the best winter hat ever! the quality is superb: its well put together, supple and soft, and holds up in all kinds of weather. it keeps your ears warm, and the brim keeps the sun out of your eyes, and you can raise the ear flaps and tie the on top of your hat. its keeps me so warm and toasty. you can choose a size. i have a 22" head but ordered the XXL as i dont like hats too tight, and the XXL fit perfectly - snug so keeps out cold, but not too tight.
