Going to buy a spare, just in case!
Bought this hat on a whim while visiting the Larimer Square store in Denver with my girlfriend. To quote her "that's hot"! lol
Never owned a "cowboy" hat before, but always thought it made sense for being outside in the west - seemed to be the "working cowboys" hat.
I now understand why cowboys wore them - the practical perfection! I'm so much more comfortable outside with this hat - keeps the sun off my neck, ears and face, and out of my eyes when out hiking or golfing. Rain too - just beads up and rolls off.
Keeps my head warm during those afternoon storms too (you know, when the temp drops 20 degrees in 20 minutes!)
It keeps my head a little warmer than I'd like - but is by no means hot. I'd probably sweat as much in a baseball cap, but without the protection from the sun.
Hat is crushable and easily reshaped. Color is great, and any wear marks just seems to add character. It's the perfect daily-use hat for out west.
Excellent value at ~$35. Every guy out west should have one! Can't think of anything I'd change about it.
