Simple, sophisticated, and versatile, the Selma coat makes the perfect companion on a dinner date or trip to the museum. Made of a super-soft, resilient blend of Merino wool and baby alpaca, this coat features flattering princess seams, contemporary patch pockets, and a stand-up collar. Best of all, it’s reversible, giving you two coats in one.

2 patch pockets on either side

“Baby Alpaca” refers to the fineness of the alpaca wool—not the age of the animal—and is one of the softest grades of alpaca wool, most often compared to Merino wool in feel. Softer, lighter, and warmer than sheep’s wool, baby alpaca wool is naturally water-repellent and a thermal insulator, even when wet. Because alpaca wool contains no lanolin, it’s also hypoallergenic and can be worn next to the skin (it doesn’t cause that “scratchy” feeling in those sensitive to regular wool products). Over 80% of alpaca wool comes from Peru, supporting over 50,000 families living in the Andes mountains; it is widely considered one of the most eco-friendly natural fibers.

I love it, high quality!!!!

A worker in the store in Durango, pointed out that she wears this coat all the time because it is not too hot or too light but just right. She is right, it is so soft and perfect on most slightly cold mornings, into the 20's. It is one of my favorite coats from Overland, but it is hard to pick a favorite, everything from Overland is great! I am glad I tried it on because I would have gotten large but the medium fits me perfect, I am 5'8 and about 155 pounds.

Nice and novel design but runs big

I liked everything about this coat. It's really soft and high quality but I had to exchange it for an XS. I almost always wear sizes 4-6. This felt like I was wearing my mom's coat. The sleeves were too long and it was much too wide and I'm a curvy lady. I wanted to love it enough that I took a chance on an exchange. Fingers crossed it works.

Great coat
