Roy Sheepskin Coat

Great looking coat that is true to size .. size 44 fit my 5' 10" 180# American male large with chest 43" just fine .. but the coat arrived with one of the three front buttons hanging down in front and barely connected to the coat at all .. and the right pocket sock inside the coat, that is supposed to be held in place with a 3" long piece of twisted thread tacked from the pocket sock end back to the coat body, was hanging by a single thread only for the last inch of travel to the pocket sock .. no doubt that one thread would have broken right away and the pocket sock would then just be dangling inside the coat .. why this coat was not made with a true pocket built into the coat is beyond me, because otherwise it is a winner .. Overland's USA made products have much better design and construction than some of their Turkish made products, unfortunately ..

So far so good, now if winter cooperates I'll get to try it out. The fifth star will come at the end of the season Fit and quality is good.

First off, I love sheepskin - great tactile feel, versatility, and insulation during Chicago fall/winter. But, sometimes I don't care for the look it (see: jackets with big, puffy, cream colored collars and cuffs). This jacket does sheepskin really well. The color of the collar and the exterior finish just look cool. It's not too showy, but will stand out from the crowd. The fit on me is perfect - I got a large which is a bit sized up and very glad I did. One last note: Clearly I would never buy a garment solely based on thoughtful packaging, such as Overland including a garment bag and a nice wooden hanger, but because they do, I think more of the company. That attention to detail enhances my perception that I bought something of quality from a company who doesn't scrimp on what they determine as "non-essential" and ultimately earns my loyalty. Bottom line, this is a cool jacket and a quality product from a good company.
