Quality Jacket, sizing was perfect.
I have not yet had the opportunity to wear the jacket, as the weather in Asheville, NC is just beginning to turn cool (middle of October). However, just wearing it briefly one can tell it will be nice and warm ont those cool/cold days.

Great experience shopping at overland
My husband purchased a Romano jacket. Everyone was very helpful choosing right size color etc. We have purchased from overland in both Jackson hole and Santa Fe locations. Always great people to help us make the perfect purchase. Jack loves his new jacket and looking forward to many years of wear. Can't beat quality and choice of products. Try them you will be happy you didn't!

Great company with whom to work
I made two purchases, one a hat and the other a jacket. The hat was too large and the company exchanged it immediately with no problem and no extra shipping charges. The jacket fit well. Both products are exceptionally well made. I looked a long time to get just the right leather jacket and Im not at all disappointed.

Great High Quality Jacket
There is no question that this is an expensive leather jacket. A bit of an extravagance at least for me. I mean I really dont need it. However, the quality of the leather, stiching, design and style are in line with the price. And since seeing it on a trip to telluride last April, I simply had to have it. As others have noted the sizing runs large. I'm 5'11, 175 and normally wear a 42R. Based on other reviews I ordered the 40 and it fits perfect.

Quality Leather Jacket
I was looking for a quality "live in" leather jacket that I could wear with jeans...or slacks, shirt and tie. The Romano seemed to fit the bill from the pictures online. I'm a 6' 190lb kinda guy with 36" waist. I wasn't sure what size would be right and don't have an Overland store near me so I ordered both a size 40 and 42 to try on with the intent of sending one back. If I'm going to spend this kind of money on a jacket, I wanted the right fit. The 42 was very comfortable, but a little bigger in the girth...might have been better if wearing a heavy sweater. The sleeves for me were just a bit too long with the cuffs resting on my knuckles. Good shoulder mobility. I ended up going with the 40. Sleeve length was perfect and gave a nice tailored look with plenty of room when sitting, but could be tight if wearing multiple layers. I'd say the sizes for me ran larger...I originally thought I'd take a size 42. Pros This is a quality garment and I love the dark brown color and feel of the leather. The thinsulate lining is only in the torso and the sleeves are lined. I never figured out why most jackets don't extend the thinsulate lining in the sleeves, though the sleeves do feel warm. Bidirectional zipper for sitting, but for me not really required, but a nice feature. Wallet left chest pocket and right belly phone pocket. I carry a firearm and a small to medium auto on a belt holster is covered. This jacket should be a good 25F-60F wear. Cons Sleeve cuffs could be about a 1/4" wider. When buttoned it's hard to get my hands through the cuffs taking it off and my watch tends to hang up in the cuff when wearing the jacket. I wish the jacket had some interior chest slanted pockets.

Beautiful jacket...worth the price
Great in colder weather when my unlined jacket doesn't cut it. It's made very well and looks great. I usually wear a 44 but this jacket fit me better in a 42 (originally purchased the 44 which fit but on the larger side of OK). I haven't had the opportunity to wear it in colder weather yet but I can tell you that I feel the warmth against my body when just trying it on.This was not a cheap purchase for me but I don't regret paying for quality when it's there. This jacket is worth it.

this is the best jacket i ever bought
This coat is great; looking at the details of its construction, you can see that it will definitely last a very long time. Also goatskip will still look beautiful when it gets old. The most comfortable temperature range for this coat is about 35F-45F (with only a t-shirt and a dress shirt underneath); also it will not become too hot even the temperature rises to 50F+. With some light layering, it can be worn comfortably in 20F-30F. For chest sizing, I usually get 42R for suit and size 40 fits me well; it has enough room to add one big sweather, and does not look bulky at all. So I think getting 2inchs below your suit jacket size would be roughly correct. Initially when I bought this jacket a few months ago (still summer time), I thought the sleeve is somewhat too long and was considering having it shortened. Fortunately I didn't do that, because winter coat is usually worn on top of some other cloth so the sleeve has to be a little longer than summer coats. The only suggestion i would make is about the cell phone pocket on the right: that is not useful at all, would be much better if its replaced by a real chest pocket or some large mesh pocket.

WoW Leather Coat
The Romano Jacket is extraordinary. The fit, comfort, and appearance are just what I was looking for. I shopped for just the right jacket in London, Madrid, Florence, and New York before finding just the right thing at Overland's in Santa Fe. Bill Graves was very knowledgeable about all of Overland's inventory as he helped me compare the various coats and jackets. Shipping to my home was at no charge and prompt as expected. Kinda makes me want to get back to Santa Fe to see what else I need.
