Perfect for South Texas winters; however, little itchy

I've bought many coats from Overland over the years Great quality and made to last I love this coat as it is lighter and thinner as mentioned in other reviews; however, it has no lining and it has that old school wool itchy to it I like it enough to keep but I am putting a lining on the inside to prevent the scratchy, itchy

Absolutely love it!

I purchased this coat today at the Santa Fe, NM Overland store. From the moment I saw it on the rack, I loved it! The fabric is not super heavy, so it will be great for lots of events, outside or inside. It looks a little like a wool dress and it's very tailored. It appears to run big. So, if you're ordering online, you might order one size down.

Coat Beautiful but very thin.

I love the look of the coat, that's why I purchased it. But upon receiving coat I was surprised and slightly disappointed. For the price I expected a coat to have a warmer/thicker lining for the cold weather. Coat is very thin with no lining whatsoever. Debating on whether to return or keep and buy a heavier coat for Canada trip.

Nailed it!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my black Regina alpaca wool coat! I spotted it on the rack at Taos Overland and saw it as ME. Was even more pleased when I tried it on. Classic, streamlined, lightweight and no fuss. I'm sure that I will enjoy it for years. Thank you, Overland. Another home run!

Wouldn't recommend

I ordered this and plan on returning ASAP. I have a few overland items and love all of them, but I usually buy from the store. This coat was not impressive at all. First off, I do not like the material the coat itself was made of. The hood was beautiful, but the coat itself looked cheap despite the price. The cut was also underwhelming. I am 5'7 and about 120 lbs and this coat was extremely unflattering. It's cut so that it makes your midsection and hips look very large. It just doesn't fall correctly compared to the other coats I have purchased from overland.
