Love it - but wait
I really love this blanket. But I have to say that I wasn't sure when I got it. I immediately put it on me out of the box and I was covered with loose fur and I was thinking this was a mistake. I decided to keep it and make it work. I shook it outdoors many times (didn't help much), lightly vacuumed it with hand tool (helped but minimally) and I even combed it with wide tooth brush (helped a little). My last attempt was to put it in dryer, NO heat, gentle cycle. Bingo! One hour later and most of the loose fur had come out. I did a second hour, again, NO heat and gentle cycle-more loose fur but just a little this time. Problem solved, the blanket is amazing and no lose fur on my clothes. About a week later I tried again and ZERO fur came out so now I know this is the solution. I don't know if this process is recommended or not but it worked for me. Again NO heat, GENTLE cycle. My goal was to do something other than keep shaking it by hand (combing and vacuuming). If I had to do it again, I would put it straight into the dryer and skip the combing, vacuuming and shaking outdoors. Amazing blanket, soft and just wonderful. I have many overland coats and this is my first blanket from them and I love this company so much. They have the best products and the absolute best service.
