Piper Spanish Merino Shearling Sheepskin Coat with Detachable Hood

This is a heavy duty coat. Love that it has a zipper, toggle buttons, and a flap going down the front. That keeps out any chill or wind from entering the coat. Also love that it has a detachable hood. Since it didn't come in an XXS, I had no choice but to order the XS. I am petite in stature (5', 107 lbs). I had planned on wearing it with layers underneath. I don't like coats tight in the torso or arms because you can't layer underneath. Left with a choice of a little room or too tight, I will take a little room any day when it comes to coats. Even thought I am petite, this coat doesn't overwhelm me. Also, the sleeves are a little long for me, but when I wear the coat, I turn up the bottom of the sleeve up and expose the fur, and it actually makes the coat even cuter. I have not worn the coat much, as it has been an unusually warm winter in the northeast. This is probably the most I have spent on a single coat, but it is worth it as it is beautiful coat, will not go out of style, and super warm. I purchased it in the Overland Store in Ketchum, Idaho. It was not available in the store, and on-line it was sold out in the XS. However, Jessica the store manager, was able to special order it for me, and a few weeks later it arrived at my house in NJ.

The fit is perfect, it's very warm and it keeps the wind at bay. The only issue I have with the coat is that the hanging loop inside the coat is made of metal, which although it is very sturdy, it is cold on your skin unless you are wearing a turtle neck type sweater or jersey underneath.

This coat is amazing! Everything I could ever want! Casual enough for every day but the quality and elegance is undeniable. So soft and warm. I never want to take it off!!

I really, really love this coat. Seriously, buying this was the best decision ever. It's super warm and comfortable and it fits great (I am about 5'4" and got a size large). Can't wait to enjoy this coat for years to come!

This jacket is great quality and came just in time for a snow storm. Very warm and it protected me from the fierce winds. The arm lengths are kinda adjustable since they roll up. The fur is soft and a gorgeous color. I would buy this again and recommend to friends. I do wish they had added a bottom-up zipper. This is handy for driving and I would have thought this was included on an expensive jacket.

I was looking a short shearling coat. This is a high quality well made short coat. Fits true to size. I agree with the other reviewer that it would be nice to have another zipper in the end for sitting. The rich brown color is beautiful.

This jacket is the most comfortable jacket and such good quality and craftsmanship. The only thing I would suggest is that it has a second zipper on the bottom, easier for the car ride for sitting. Other than that, I love it!

The sleeves are way too long and I think it was overpriced

I was very pleased when I received my new Piper Merino Sheepskin Coat. The color is a lovely brown, the quality of the sheepskin is obvious, the workmanship is just excellent, and the fit is perfect. I appreciate the wooden hanger and the dust cover that was included with the Coat -- a very nice touch. Thank you. This coat was a splurge, but it is well worth the money in my opinion.
