The picture shows a solid leather, but the description says it is plaid. If the outside is made of fabric is it less warm than one with leather on the outside

ANSWER:

The hat is double faced shearling. The interior is fur and the exterior is leather. The leather has a pattern applied to it.

PERFECT FIT WITH FULL COVERAGE

Since I bought this in August, I can only surmise that it will be warm AF during the winter. It has full coverage around the head, over the ears and even the neck. So, it's not for styling in chill air. It's for serious warmth in serious cold.

Cool hat

It's lightweight, fits great and it's warm. The front trim is a little big, would have preferred it to be maybe 2 inches shorter. Otherwise I'm pretty happy with it.

Very happy with the hat overall.

I wish I'd gotten the smaller size for a snugger fit and the ties come loose, but I love that it is lightweight yet very warm. Much needed in upcoming weather. I think it's cute too.

Love the hat

Unfortunately, I have a small head and I can't get the strings tight enough to keep the wind out of the hat and causing my ears to get cold. I am returning the hat only due to that reason.

Warm in the wind

Super windy and cold up here in the CO mountains. My Nash hat passed the test with the last wind storm. Tied the flaps under my chin and didn't have any wind get in. It's a keeper. Probably should have gotten a small, but still a great hat that does the job.
