The Rare Hat I Needed

Randomly decided I needed this exact hat. I searched for months. I even looked in Argentina! I saw a great hat in the US that cost nearly $400. Finally I bought this hat with Christmas money from my Dad and Grandpa, both of whom are gone but both would have loved this hat. I am so glad that I bought it! It looks exactly like I expected. My husband said that the hat was me and he expects that I will wear it all day, even in the house. I do have a small head (size 6) so the small was too big but I contacted customer service and they sent hat sizers for free. Fits perfectly now and I'm having fun wearing this hat in my suburban town. Migrant workers look at it and smile with delight. Other folk look at it with awe.

Different this time

It's taller and fits looser than the same style/size two years ago, and now it's lined with satin. Not what we were expecting, going to send it back.

Not What I Expected

I found the actual hat to be of a lesser quality wool felt than I expected for the price. The real killer however, were the too large holes for the chin straps which let the sunlight flow through them creating two very distracting bright spots against a dark hat. I was very excited about finding a dark brown hat and really wanted to love it. Instead I'm just sadly disappointed. I have already returned it.

Beautiful and stylish black hat!

Last year, I purchased the Mesa Sueded Merino Wool hat in chocolate. Apparently you have discontinued this style. While The Mesa Wool Felt Gaucho is very nice that I recently purchased, I would love to see the previous hat reinstated. Your hats are wonderfully made, and the quality shows.
