Appearance is an excellent boot
These boots are not designed for the cold winter months. There is no type of lining inside to keep your feet warm. I wore them for the first time on the Midwest first true cold winter day, and it felt like my feet were frozen. I thought Overland would have made sure that there was a Sherling lining inside of these boots taken into consideration this is what they specialize in but instead you must purchase a pair of Sherling linings at an additional cost. For the price of these boots, you would have thought Overland would have included the lining at no additional cost. My plan was to wear these in the cold winter months, not in the summertime on the beach.

We strive to make our product descriptions as detailed as possible and while these boots are advertised as hiker boots, they are not specifically designed for low cold temperatures as they are not shearling lined or insulated for winter conditions.
For very cold environments, we recommend choosing a style that is specifically made for cold-weather wear and includes additional lining. I will provide a few links to our lined boots below.
