Maverick Sheepskin Bomber Jacket

For one thing, it is a different style of bomber jacket. It does not have the exposed sheepskin at the waist or at the sleeves, major plus. Another plus is that it has the sheepskin throughout the entire lining and sleeves of the jacket. The colors are another plus, the sheepskin is not prestine, obvious white like others and the color of the actual exterior is a golden "aged" look, not a prestine, obviously new jacket either. The not so good, is the size. I am 5'9 155 lbs, measured 42" chest and was stuck with a large. It was HUGE, I had to return it. I got another style in a small and was still a little big, very wearable, but bigger than I like. The other not so good, the pencil holder/pocket on the sleeve, that was more obvious than anything else. Honestly, if I could have got the jacket in XSmall, I would have kept it, it is a very high quality jacket.

I bought this in August and so haven't used it yet, but I love this coat! So warm and soft. Also, this is a man's coat and I am a female. I wanted the bomber look and I wanted it big.

I live in upstate New York close to the Canadian border. This jacket is well made and warm for the northern winter months which can be way below freezing here. I didn't find any flaws in it.

This is a very warm jacket - great for cold winter days and nights.

So I bought this jacket and have had it for 2 months. I am 6'2 and 200lb athletic guy. Got the XL and the sleeves fit well. Not too tight, but fits very nicely where I can do work in this jacket like shovel snow or drive a car. A bit loose around my waist, but not too bad. The positives: It is super warm It is very soft inside and is of good quality materials All the zippers work and do not get stuck in the wool But of course, there were a few negatives (check the pictures): The back has the cross-stitch and that can sometimes poke me in the back (Not very noticeable) The leather is very, very soft. Weirdly soft that it threw me off the first time. I was expecting tougher leather. Has a very "distressed leather" look. I did not expect that originally. Narrow pockets mean that I always get my watch caught when putting my hand into the pocket. The negatives are nit-picky and most of them are things that were not listed specifically on the website and that I was surprised to find. Overland needs to include more pictures of the inside of the jacket and describe the jackets in more detail. I have included a few pictures that would have helped me when I was looking. #sweepstakes
