Lance Sheepskin Jacket

Absolutely stunning and great craftsmanship, I will have this for the rest of my life

This is well cut, fits perfectly (I'm 6', 195 lbs (fit but not athletic build) and the 42 fits me perfectly...good sleeve length (I typically wear a 35 sleeve and a 41 or 42 suit jacket depending on the manufacturer). The hardware is a nice dark chrome type finish, and I don't find it cheap as some other reviewer noted. I think the zipper, zipper pull, and neck belt hardware all have good weight to them and seem durable. The jacket is warm and comfortable to wear and has received compliments the few times I've already worn it. Hoping this wears well and lasts and can be an heirloom item in my wardrobe!

I got this coat a couple of years ago; I had bought the "hayes" model but the zipper was way too hard to use on that coat so I exchanged it for this one. Like everyone says, it's a beautiful, warm coat, but...the lack of pocket size almost make it unusable, at least on a normal basis. It has no inside chest pocket; I assume the sheepskin lining makes that impossible. The two side pockets are very small; if you put your cell phone or billfold in a side pocket, you're living dangerously. The only other pocket is sewn into the inside of the left pocket, and it's just big enough to fit my keys in. If you need anything out of that pocket, you have to unzip the coat and dig around; the opening of that inside pocket faces the back, so you have to grab the coat with one hand while you try to retrieve what's in there. Fortunately I can just leave my keys in there to use my truck, but other than that, there's just two small side pockets. So, beautiful coat, but most of the time it's not practical. End result is I end up wearing it maybe ten times a year if the weather's cold enough and I don't have a reason to carry much.

This is a Manly Man jacket. It feels great, it looks great. It's a all around great jacket. I love everything about this jacket. You can not go wrong with a Overland item in your closet. I own 2 jackets. Always want another one. You get what you're paying for...A true quality product.

The Lance jacket is exceptional. I have wanted an Overland shearling jacket for some time but wasn't sure about style (traditional bomber or other) and about the price. After dating this jacket for months online, I finally decided to make the investment. All I can say is, I should have purchased it sooner. I have never owned a jacket this soft, warm, and comfortable. Highly recommend!

For such an expensive garment, I was expecting good quality zippers and buckles. Instead they feel cheap and delicate. I highly doubt they will last the life of the coat.

I wanted something that was classy and understated so that I could wear it to my office, to church, and to social and sporting events. The Ken Sheepskin was my choice. This coat is luxurious inside and out, and it fit perfectly at size 40 with one exception. It is too long at 30" for someone like me who stands 5'6" and weighs 140 lbs. Looking at the photo online, the Ken coat appears to come down approximately 5"-6" below the model's waistline. However, on me at 5'6", it goes down to about 4" above my knees. All of Overland's men's coats are worn by models appearing to stand at least 6' with athletic builds, and the fit is always perfect on them. Unfortunately, most of us are not the typical model type. This is NOT a criticism of Overland. We all want to look at clothing, in this case, men's coats, worn by tall, good looking people. Anyway, I loved this coat, and I was sad to have to return it. In conclusion, the ordering and returning of the Ken, was super easy, even for a 78-year-old geezer like me. I am presently looking at Overland coats that are shorter like the Lance with a length of 27.5". Overall, I would give Overland a 5* rating. The quality of their sheepskins and workmanship are outstanding.

Not cold enough yet to wear but out of the box it feels fantastic. It's stunningly beautiful and I can't wait to wear it. As far as the fit goes, it's actually the best fitting overland jacket I've bought. I also have the Memphis leather moto jacket in L. The sleeves in that jacket are perfect but fits a little too wide in the torso. The Lance sheepskin I purchased was size 42. Couldn't fit better. For reference I am 6'0" and 195lbs with athletic build. Highly recommend this jacket so far. Can't wait to wear it this winter in Tennessee and for the apres ski in Montana!
