Rugged and gorgeous.
I live in Chicago where the winters can easily last 5 months and dish out polar vortex to spice things up. I got this jacket although I shouldn't because I was fed up of looking like a Michelin man all winter long. I am a musician and I do not invest in this kind of gear easily, I simply can not justify the expense. So, why did I make the plunge? Because the JackFrost ticks all the boxes: it's very warm, it's not a parka, it's very well made, it's rugged, it's super reliable and it is gorgeous. I don't have a great body these days, Il'm a bit soft in the middle, if you catch my meaning. This jacket makes me look like Harrison Ford in "The raiders of the lost ark". Everything else makes me look like a landlord coming to collect the rent.
I have been a fan of this brand for a long time. I bought a little leather card holder in 1995, abused it, stuffed it with too many cards, had it in my pocket for close to 25 years. It's still the same today. I'm not saying that it's holding fairly well, I'm saying that besides one little stubborn scratch, the thing looks brand new, even the color has held beautifully. That's why I don't hesitate to purchase something from this company when I want something that will hold up the test of time. I will probably wear that Jack Frost on my last winter. It'll be an old trusty friend that has kept me warm in the thick and thin of a musical life.
