An ideal companion for cold winter days, the terrific Overland Highlands has everything you have come to expect from Overland. Combining supreme comfort with a stylish, contemporary look, the coat is made of plush, luxurious, yet supremely lightweight double-face Spanish Merino shearling. It features a handsome double collar with contrasting trim, a straight cuff, two roomy front pockets, and finished seams with single-needle topstitching for added detail. An extra bib layer with zipper offers great added wind protection. Calfskin leather trim and genuine elk horn buttons complete this timeless coat.

This coat is temperature rated to -2°F in moderate activity, such as walking.

Highlands Forest Spanish Merino Shearling Sheepskin Coat

This is a stunning top quality coat - you get what you pay for. I was a little apprehensive about purchasing the forst color but after receiving the coat, I could not be more pleased. The merino wool is soft, plush, and very warm. This is the type of coat that can be mated with various styles of dress. I order size 46 and find it to be true to size. Exceptional product!

Exceeded My Expectations

I love this coat. I was a little worried about the color, considering the cost, but I couldn't be happier. Yes it has a tinge of green to it, but it really translates as"tobacco " to me and my female friend. Regardless, the coat is well made and very comfortable. It drapes a little large in the upper arms, but I would expect that in a sheepskin coat. I love the lined pockets too. Overall, I find the coat to reflect the craftmanship and quality that you would expect in coat of this price point. It doesnt scream the price, but it does translate the quality which I prefer. I am very happy wearing this with Jean's and a ball cap and knowing the quality that I am wearing is my little secret.

Simply the finest shearling coat - period.

I waited years to purchase this exclusive Overland-made coat. I have tried on other "similar" coats from high end men's clothiers and from Or___; while all are very nice shearling coats, this coat is in a class all by itself atop the rest, period. I received this coat and a competitor coat at home on the same day......its was not even a close decision. Like I said, it is in a class by itself and is a simply spectacular "investment" quality garment I will enjoy for many many years to come.

Rugged yet refined

I have been eyeing this model line for the past 2 years, although an expensive purchase, the quality level of this product is unmatched, which definitely justifies the price. I am getting older, and the thing I have noticed about my purchases have been on products that will last 10 to 15 winters, and this jacket it most definitely one of them. The leather used was of high quality, with no visible scaring, or defects noted. The buttons were of high quality matching the jacket design. The zipper is stout, and seems to have been designed to stand the test of time. The stitching is amazing with the look of a handmade product. I tried on both the forest and black versions of this jacket, I found the black to be a bit too formal for my tastes, the forest (and most likely the coffee) colors were a bit more casual and could be worn easily with jeans.

Beautiful coat

Comfortable, classy yet rugged. I'm 5'5" and 135# and a 36 fits well except sleeves about 3/4 inch too long. If I fold the leather lining on inside of sleeve out and expose it then the sleeve length is perfect and I think it looks good with the matching leather band on the collar.

beautiful coat

Bought this coat for my husband for Christmas. It was superbly made and it looked like it cost what it did. However, the arms were 2 inches short and had to send it back. My husband is 6'3" and the size 44 fit him very well (except for the arm length). Overland said they could special order one so the arms were long enough for an extra 10%. I'm thinking about that option because a coat of this quality is hard to find.

A major flaw lately

No doubt this is an amazing coat, however, this coat did not work for me because it is way too wide or loose below the chest of the coat. This sort of makes me look like I am carrying a baby. And this is when I went one size below my normal size. I am really not sure what they were thinking when they designed the sizing for this beautiful coat.

Too large

The coat is beautiful and very well made. The sheepskin is of superb quality. Unfortunately, the size 42 fit like a 44, and no smaller ones were available at this time
