Beautiful and warm coat!

This coat was made for Michigan winter weather. If you want to look good and stay warm in cold weather buy this coat. The zipper is still the only thing that is a real challenge. I just use the buttons and that works fine.

OLD WORLD CRAFTMANSHIP

Is there such a thing as six stars. Total bespoke high-end quality. The attention to detail is unparalleled. This is hand-me-down generation jacket. It's buttery warm. The collar is stylish. I am 6'5" and it fits like a glove I mean jacket. It's beautifully functional. What's not to love? I am thinking of my next coat.

Great Quality, loved the coat except...

I really loved working with Overland to purchase this coat. The coat was a great fit, looks great, (46L) and very warm. The one complaint that I had is that the side pockets which have zippers have no leather covering so you tend to scratch the back of your hands on the exposed zipper teeth when either putting your gloves, for eg, into the outer pockets, or retrieving them. This also happens when sticking your hands into your outer pockets for warmth. This is a small detail that would have made me issue the extra star. Otherwise, I am very satisfied.

beautiful craftsmanship ruined by flimsy zipper

Pros: The coat is beautiful, warm, well tailored with a great fit. Cons: The zipper is terrible and flimsy. It's hard to use and requires many attempts. For such an expensive jacket, it's a shame Overland didn't invest in sturdier zippers that work well (there are many mentions of this in other reviews too so this is clearly not a new problem).
