Hayes Quilted Sheepskin Coat – Big (48 – 52)

My third Overland jacket, uniform quality among all three. You get what you pay for! I recommend Overland products 100%. I'll be back.

I love everything about this coat: the design, quality, craftsmanship, and fit. However, we struggled for a while with the zipper before getting the hang of it, and it's still not easy. While I understand a double zipper is a feature, too many people have difficulties with it and quite honestly most men don't need or use that feature. It should be fixed.

Great quality I love the coat

Ever since I got a pair of boots with natural shearling I've been in love with it. Wanting to get a shearling jacket for a while I finally caved in this Christmas. I called to talk to their customer service, and the lady I talked to was great and answered all my questions about size and material. I decided to go with the Hayes jacket and I ordered a 50 size. I'm 6' 2" 252lbs. with broad shoulders and it fits great! The jacket is so soft and wonderful!! I just love it. The quilting on the front adds a nice bit of style to the coat which I feel looks better than a smooth front. This coat is very warm and comfortable, just a t shirt underneath and you're good to go on most days. I highly recommend it and the quality is well worth the price. I'm looking forward to ordering more great stuff from Overland in the future.

Just received this coat for Christmas. Nice coat, fits well, seems warm. The only issue I have is: I HATE THE ZIPPER. It is a double zipper...zips to the top, and then can be unzipped from the bottom. I have had double zippered coats in the past, and there has never been a problem. And this zipper is large, and "appears" to be well made. Why it refuses to work, I have no idea. Very frustrating!

I was looking for a winter coat for an adult man (55) that wasn't a ridiculous puffer coat, some gaudy multi-color nylon and plastic thing, or a work/hunting coat. Something I could wear to work on my commute or for a casual walk through the city. This coat is perfect for all of those things. I'm 6'2" and 280 lb, so I ordered the navy blue Big size 52. It fits perfectly except for the arms are about half an inch too long. That's fine, I'd rather a coat have slightly longer arms than arms that are too short. The quality of this coat is unlike any other I've owned. Even the button holes are reinforced with additional layers of leather to prevent the sheepskin from stretching. The sheepskin appears almost black, but I imagine it will fade over time to its navy blue. The thread in the quilt pattern is a dark blue, so I assumed I got the correct color. I can envision this coat lasting me many years.

I've made over the years multiple purchases with overland, I've even offered to open a shop in Canada. This type of clothes can be given to your children later on. Take great care of it.

This coat fits perfect. Very warm without being bulky. I love it.
