Galina Hooded Sheepskin Coat

The Galina coat exceeds my expectations in every way! Chic yet functional. I've worn it twice to walk my Collie in 30 degree weather and NOTHING gets through this coat! It has a sturdy, metal zipper (which must be carefully zipped lest the Tigrado fur get caught in it), and the sheepskin hide blocks the breeze/wind entirely. As for the inside of the coat, the shorn sheep fur keeps you warm but also regulates itself accordingly so you don't overheat. The hood is full and abundant in its Tigrado furnishing, and immensely flattering to the face. I DO find it helpful to wear a cap underneath the hood as it helps keep the hood in place (unless it's super windy). A scarf wrapped around the base of the hood would keep it in place in very high wind. My only criticism is that air will seep in at the base of the collar when the coat is zipped up, so a simple, elastic neck scarf would mitigate this (unless of course you prefer a long scarf wrapped around the base of the hood/collar). I LOVE the jungle brown color and oatmeal Tigrado fur. It's especially complimentary to a gal with graying hair! For reference, I am 5'3", 128 lbs with a curvy figure. I went with a Medium and it's a PERFECT fit worn both open and closed. This is a jacket I will wear forever! Outrageously happy customer here! Well done Overland.

I regularly stop in Overland to try on coats, looking for the perfect one. This caught my eye and it was on the sale rack. It is a beautiful coat, so soft and warm, but it is not heavy like my older sheepskin coat, so it's more wearable. I purchased it and I'm so glad I did. I would say it fits tts. Another reviewer commented on the zipper getting caught in the fur and I would agree to this statement. I'm careful when I zip it up and really prefer it open with a sweater. If you are near Fairfield Iowa stop in the store. They have an amazing store manager, Laura. She makes all the difference in the shopping experience.

I came across this beautiful coat last winter yet didn't buy it.. but I kept going back to look at it... and this winter... I am now wearing this beautiful coat! It fits me perfectly and is as warm as can be. The first test wearing it in single digit weather and very high winds a few weeks ago... and I was as warm as can be! Every time I wear it, I receive lots of compliments... regardless of the compliments.... I am the one who loves this gorgeous coat the most.... This coat is made so well... I will wear it for endless winters to come! ... God willing.
