Galina Hooded Sheepskin Coat

The Galina coat is very warm and really beautiful. It feels like a versatile piece I'll be able to wear with casual clothes as well as something more dressy. The sleeves are very long, so I took the coat in for alterations and had the sleeves shortened and stitched into place to avoid the cuff unrolling. The pockets were also very shallow and couldn't fit my iPhone Pro Max, so I had the pockets replaced with larger ones. The zippers on the pockets are very handy, though. The first time I wore it, I got loads of wool fibers caught in my clothes and it made a bit of a mess. I used a lint remover inside the coat and that's helped.

Let me begin by saying that not only is this coat stunning to look at, the minute you put it on you feel like you're wrapped in such comfort and quality. I cant wait for the cold weather to wear this amazing coat. If you're undecided, just go for it. You will adore it.

I've been wanting this coat for 2 years and finally made the purchase. My husband and I took a 5 hour car ride up from Long Island, NY to the store in Saratoga Springs, NY. Kristos helped me for hours because I had to try on every single coat/jacket that I liked in the catalog. He is such a kind patient person and was a pleasure to work with. He gave me his honest opinion about each coat and I still wound up buying my original obsession, the Galina Hooded Sheepskin Coat. Ironically the store didn't have the coat in stock and I ordered it online anyway. But based on Kristos expertise I was able to order the correct size and now know what my next purchase will be in the future. The color of my Galina coat is so pretty as I really liked the speckled brown color of the skin, which was important to me as it is so different. The hood is really soft and looks great. It is lightweight yet very warm. I am usually a medium but sized up to a large so it fits more comfortably if i wear a heavy sweater. I'm really looking forward to wearing this beautiful coat all winter and being nice and warm!

Was feeling slightly guilty buying this coat, but so glad that I did! It's absolutely gorgeous! Of course the quality is the best. I love how the hood kind of wraps around your shoulders when it's not up. The color is as shown and it's very warm! Looking forward to wearing it for years to come!

I spent several weeks deciding which coat would best meet my needs, which was a pretty long list. This is going to be a daily wear coat for me because my day is spent in and out of the cold Needed a full, to the neck closure and hood. Needed pockets (zippers on this a bonus!). Needed darker color. Needed longer length and sleeves that could be adjusted because I'm a petite 5ft 118lbs woman (hits just above my knee), I ordered a small. I need to be warm and more on the casual side since I mainly wear jeans and leggings. I see lots of people, have to look good. I can't walk around in a fur coat (which I have several) without being judged in this day and age, so I needed something that would "confuse " these types lol... The Galina checked off all the boxes! First day I wore it (28° and windy) I was in love. It's very light yet provides full protection from the cold, and I never overheated....the way it regulated my body heat, no matter if I was indoors for a minute or back out in the elements was impressive. The speckled pelts are stunning, whoever made this particular coat took great care in the design and pattern placement. The curly lambs wool lays perfectly when the coat is open and the hood becomes a beautiful shawl around the shoulders. When the hood is on, and the coat zipped up, it provides full protection and stays in place. Adjustable sleeves allow for a perfect length. Zipper pulls are a nice addition. The only request I would have and would have appreciated would be a heavier zipper. I have always wanted a shearling coat, actually was in the Toas store a few times several years ago, so I was aware of the quality that Overland is famous for. I am so happy with the Galina, that I decided to treat myself to a jacket and just received the Olivia in the olive green....it's stunning! So now I have 2! Customer service is 5 star, some of the nicest, knowledgeable and helpful professionals I have ever delt with..

My first time purchasing an Overland coat and couldn't be happier. Exceptional quality and construction in this coat, which has a sort of ruggedly elegant look to it. It arrived so nicely packed, and included a lovely wooden hanger and breathable zippered storage covering. I was a little worried as to whether I had ordered the right size but taking my measurements first according to the size chart worked. This coat looks beautifully on me and did I mention how warm it is!

I waited for this coat was to be back in stock for 2 months...was so happy when they notified me...it's here..they only made 7 in XSmall ...I absolutely am in love with this coat...the quality of fabric...and detail to craftsmanship I haven't seen in years..fits like it was made for my body....colour is stunning.....Heirloom quality......so lightweight but no cold air gets thru....I get very cold naturally so this is my NEW best friend..it makes me smile just to look at it......piece of art !!!

I love everything about this jacket. I have a long coat that I bought several years ago from Overland but now wanted something shorter and less formal. This coat is stylish, super warm, and perfect for hiking or everyday wear. I am usually cold, but not when wearing shearling!
