Details

The flattering Frida features a design inspired by the very best of the southwest. A masterpiece of patterning, this reversible jacquard knit wrap with a high-contrast palette and stunning borders brings some serious wow factor to your look. Better yet, 100% baby alpaca yarn brings natural softness and substantial warmth to this versatile open-front layer. With a pretty drape, the Frida offers sophisticated style even when you’re keeping it casual. Finished with hand-embroidered accents and a rolled hem.

“Baby Alpaca” refers to the fineness of the alpaca wool—not the age of the animal—and is one of the softest grades of alpaca wool, most often compared to Merino wool in feel. Softer, lighter, and warmer than sheep’s wool, baby alpaca wool is naturally water-repellent and a thermal insulator, even when wet. Because alpaca wool contains no lanolin, it’s also hypoallergenic and can be worn next to the skin (it doesn’t cause that “scratchy” feeling in those sensitive to regular wool products). Over 80% of alpaca wool comes from Peru, supporting over 50,000 families living in the Andes mountains; it is widely considered one of the most eco-friendly natural fibers.

I love this wrap!

This wrap is beautiful and elegant, but not so fancy that I won't wear it casually as well. I wore it to a Christmas Day family gathering and received numerous compliments. The alpaca weave is soft and light and cozy all at once. It is beautifully made and the quality is first rate. it was sent to me quickly and wrapped perfectly.
