Details

Luxuriously soft, with smart style to boot, the Evelyn plaid shirt jacket offers a classic lightweight layer for chilly days. This boucle knit of baby alpaca, silk, and wool, has a wonderfully nubbly texture on the outside and a clean finish on the inside. Beautifully crafted, it flatters the figure with curved side hems and lends visual interest with lambskin leather trim at the pockets. With brown corozo buttons.

“Baby Alpaca” refers to the fineness of the alpaca wool—not the age of the animal—and is one of the softest grades of alpaca wool, most often compared to Merino wool in feel. Softer, lighter, and warmer than sheep’s wool, baby alpaca wool is naturally water-repellent and a thermal insulator, even when wet. Because alpaca wool contains no lanolin, it’s also hypoallergenic and can be worn next to the skin (it doesn’t cause that “scratchy” feeling in those sensitive to regular wool products). Over 80% of alpaca wool comes from Peru, supporting over 50,000 families living in the Andes mountains; it is widely considered one of the most eco-friendly natural fibers.

Good quality with one problem

Very good quality fabric. Good styling. Good quality finish work. Only problem is the thread used was not stretchy, thus there was very little give in the fabric when I put my elbows together and leaned forward. I could feel the seams biting into my shoulders at the back. So it had to go back

This is so comfortable and cozy. Bring on the cold weather, this is good for autumn days and layering in the winter. The fabric is beautiful and this plaid can be dressed up or a casual look. The trim does not look or feel like leather, but it doesn't detract from it's versatility.
