Details

You get 2 cozy cardigans in 1 reversible sweater, a soft, lightweight open front layer for outdoors or in. And when breezes blow, raise the hood for easy protection. The long tunic length adds warmth and coverage that looks great with leggings or stretch jeans. 77% Alpaca Wool, 21% Organic Cotton, 2% Nylon.

“Baby Alpaca” refers to the fineness of the alpaca wool—not the age of the animal—and is one of the softest grades of alpaca wool, most often compared to Merino wool in feel. Softer, lighter, and warmer than sheep’s wool, baby alpaca wool is naturally water-repellent and a thermal insulator, even when wet. Because alpaca wool contains no lanolin, it’s also hypoallergenic and can be worn next to the skin (it doesn’t cause that “scratchy” feeling in those sensitive to regular wool products). Over 80% of alpaca wool comes from Peru, supporting over 50,000 families living in the Andes mountains; it is widely considered one of the most eco-friendly natural fibers.

It feels like cashmere several ply!

I use it for errands when the weather varies from warm to windy cool weather. The color deep red and beige is a luxurious combination. Perhaps a button and inconspicuous loop to close it around the waist when the breezes become cold and our hands are free for purse, packages.

I like a hoody sweater and a cardigan. I would have liked pockets but there are none in this one. I ordered it in spring, so I probably won't be wearing it until late in fall.

Perfect Year-Round Weight and Style

I have lived in this sweater since I got it, and I am considering getting a second one in the same color, so I have one for dress and the one I live in. It is a perfect weight, style, and everything you expect from a quality Alpaca sweater. I feel like I can easily wear it year-round; the fabric is very soft, and I love that I can roll the sleeves to 3/4 and reverse it for a contracting color. The hood is amazing, and the perfect size.

Very comfortable. Don't usually like hoods on sweaters but this one is soft; don't even know it's there. The sweater feels soooo nice. And I love that it's reversible. I bought the black/grey.
