Details

Premium baby alpaca wool has been double knit into a warm, stretchy, English-style beanie that’s super comfy and pairs with everything. Its long length lets you roll the edge to adjust the size for perfect coverage while doubling the insulation around your face and ears. And its unstructured design makes it so portable that you’ll always have it handy when temperatures fall and breezes blow.

“Baby Alpaca” refers to the fineness of the alpaca wool—not the age of the animal—and is one of the softest grades of alpaca wool, most often compared to Merino wool in feel. Softer, lighter, and warmer than sheep’s wool, baby alpaca wool is naturally water-repellent and a thermal insulator, even when wet. Because alpaca wool contains no lanolin, it’s also hypoallergenic and can be worn next to the skin (it doesn’t cause that “scratchy” feeling in those sensitive to regular wool products). Over 80% of alpaca wool comes from Peru, supporting over 50,000 families living in the Andes mountains; it is widely considered one of the most eco-friendly natural fibers.

I loved this hat, very sad that I lost it already

This is (was) a very comfortable hat. I wore it every day for the 3 weeks I owned it. I wish I could figure out where it went. The alpaca wool was very warm and fit just right.

Super soft

I really enjoy wearing this Beanie, it fits great and I would definitely recommend it - the only downside I have is that my ears still get cold, it would be nice if the piece that folds over your ears had another layer to keep the wind out. Overall though it is a great winter hat.

Nice, Sized, Natural Fiber Beanie

Baby alpaca beanie texture- soft, silky and does not irritate the skin. Totally comfortable, light but provides warmer insulation way better than merino.

Very Soft & Stretchy

I look for Alpaca for warmth. This hat goes beyond that with the double knit. It fits my small-medium head, but could easily stretch to fit a larger one. If you live in a cold climate, this is a basic and a winner.

This beanie is for my grandson who will be in Boston for school in the Fall. I haven't given it to him yet, but I think he will love it! It is so soft, and the Alpaca wool is sure to keep his head warm!
