Beautiful coat. True to size.

Most practical . You can zip and /or botton. You can also just zip and be confortable while driving . You see , the inner zipper is about waist length . But it with confidence!!

A true modern fit

Fit -- I am 5'9'', 180 lbs. I typically wear size 40 or medium. Similar to one of the review comments, in comparison to the Hayes, the Daniel indeed has a slimmer fit, which I prefer. I had wished Hayes was more like this (fitted with a "gentle hug" feel, but not too tight), but I ended up purchasing Hayes in 38R (which, btw, makes me look like a man, if you get my drift). Note that because of the slimmer fit, you have limited amount of room to layer. I was able to fit a thinner wool blazer or a sweater, but no more. The 40R sleeves are just a tab longer than I would have liked on me as I typically wear 33" sleeve shirts, but on a normal dude, the sleeves should be just fine for cold weather. Style - A small ding comment on the removable zipper liner -- It creates the illusion of a layered jacket/vest, which can be quite stylish. However, I don't believe it would with stand the test of time (style wise). I personally removes the zipper liner and layer a vest myself, which creates more variety in fabric, texture, and/or color. Nevertheless, as with the Hayes, I get compliments from both men and women when I wore the Daniel. Function -- I wore the Daniel in 15-25 degree (F) weather in Nashville, with minimum layering, and I could hardly feel the cold. I started to get too warm with a hat and scarf after a short walk. This coat will perform well even at a lower temperature, and keep you look good.

Beautiful quality coat.

Overland coats are cut differently depending on style. I first purchased the Jason Bomber size (42 L) Which was very roomy, but I returned it because I wasn't crazy about the style afterwards. I exchanged it for the Daniel size (42) which was extremely snug, so I had to order two sizes up to a (46). Other than that, I am very pleased with their Sheepskin coats.

Great quality, totally happy with look, fit and warmth.

I was concerned about purchasing without trying on in person, but customer service assured me that the return process would be easy.....The Daniel coat fits great, looks great...I'm totally satisfied.

This is a beautiful coat

I wear this in very cool to cold weather. This coat is so comfortable from the way it fits to the soft merino shearling lining. Extra zip in/out vest zips up to neck and keeps you warm without a scarf. Pockets perfectly positioned to put in hands comfortably and are very warm. Very similar to the McKinley at 1/3 of the price ( 1/4 if you can get it on sale!!!

Vintage Mountain Class

It's hard to pigeonhole this coat, which is of outstanding quality and tailoring. This is especially true of the olive color (which isn't too green by the way--the color looks even better in person). It's like a classic ranger coat but infused with a whole lot of class an style. The shearling on mine also has more variation than the picture, which I like a lot and lends some sophistication to it. Like glamping vs KOA, Vail vs your local ski hill, it's the urbanized version of the ranch classic. I really like the zip-in double collar and the full sheepskin weight. The other thing I appreciate is the sleeve length. Often Overland coats run a bit short for my 6'3" frame, but this one is spot on, no need for gloves to fill a wrist gap. Overall fit is comparable to your suit size, with a bit of an athletic cut. Appropriate even a a formal occasion but can dress down with jeans and flannel just as easily.

Daniel Sheepskin Coat

The coat is really nice and high quality, leather/sheepskin felt little thicker throughout. Daniel runs smaller than the Hayes Quilted that I also purchased in the same size-40. Daniel was tight and I could only wear a tee shirt under the size-40. I could wear a sweater under the Hayes in same size so Hayes felt true to size. Daniel was too snug and had to be returned. Overall a beautiful jacket. I'm 6' / 185 lbs.
