Vintage Mountain Class
It's hard to pigeonhole this coat, which is of outstanding quality and tailoring. This is especially true of the olive color (which isn't too green by the way--the color looks even better in person). It's like a classic ranger coat but infused with a whole lot of class an style. The shearling on mine also has more variation than the picture, which I like a lot and lends some sophistication to it.
Like glamping vs KOA, Vail vs your local ski hill, it's the urbanized version of the ranch classic. I really like the zip-in double collar and the full sheepskin weight.
The other thing I appreciate is the sleeve length. Often Overland coats run a bit short for my 6'3" frame, but this one is spot on, no need for gloves to fill a wrist gap. Overall fit is comparable to your suit size, with a bit of an athletic cut.
Appropriate even a a formal occasion but can dress down with jeans and flannel just as easily.
