Corbin Sheepskin Coat

I bought this as a birthday gift for my son. We live in Florida but his work territory is in N. Dakota so he certainly will need a good warm jacket this winter. He loves it! And it looks and feels great!

Excellent jacket for cold winter days in the northeast. I've worn this so far in the high teens, lower 20's with just a button down shirt and felt comfortable. It could go much colder with an extra layer. Best part is that unlike synthetic materials, you don't boil when you get indoors. I have not tested in wet weather. The leather is great quality and the fit is not bulky, like I had expected (I am 5'10", 140lb, typically 36R in suits, and ordered a small.) There is one interior zip pocket and as others have said, an extra one would have been useful.

The Corbin is a handsome coat. The sheepskin is soft, yet durable, and warm. The coat is rugged and stylish, and very well made. I do have one suggestion: a shorter zipper or a top/bottom zipper would be easier to zip and would allow more freedom to step up into a truck.

I initially purchased the Beckett coat, but was not satisfied because the slip pockets were too low. I am shorter than most, and my arms were not long enough for that coat. I ordered the Corbin and am very pleased with the feel of the coat and the fit. It is also a little shorter than the Beckett and that works better for me (I am 5'5"). It is heavy and very warm and the materials / construction are exceptional. The styling is classic and clean. This coat will last a lifetime and more. only knock is the internal zip pocket is integrated into the back side of the slip pocket, making the internal pocket a bit inconvenient to access. I would prefer and internal zip pocket inside the chest of the coat (in case the designers are looking for improvements). The support team at Overland has been very friendly and helpful as I worked with them to find the right size. Returning the Beckett coat was easy and managed efficiently by Overland. This is my first purchase from Overland - certainly will not be my last.

Quality, as expected from Overland, was very good. The fit, however, was just odd. It was baggy in the back, and tapered in close around the butt. I would have loved it if the back was tapered in and followed a normal line over the butt.

The coat just didn't have a good fit for me at all. Boxy, wide sleeves and my fiancé said Not a wow at all.

I like the quality and service I received. I plan keep the coat very long time.
