Great take on a traditional B3
Love the athletic/slim fit of this, thank you Overland for making this! It is definitely a modern cut, but without making the fit too tight under the arms or through the shoulders.
The dark color gives it a dressier feel. The black/navy combination is an interesting choice, odd actually, but so little is visible at the collar that it's almost a non-issue. The blue is really dark, almost black--think Chicago Bears obsidian more than navy. Only under direct sunlight can you see it isn't black. Which begs the question--why not just make it black like the leather?
Shearling is robust, this will be plenty warm on arctic days. The collar is also substantial, and stand up with no issues. Quality is outstanding--leather is very soft, the shearling is top notch, and the tailoring is well done. The choice to have the edge of exposed shearling at the collar but not the cuffs (like a normal B3) is a smart design choice that emphasizes the more modern cut of the coat overall.
