This is a well designed and well executed piece of clothing!
Well stitched inside and out. Visually clean, subtle lines and patterns. Soft and warm fabric. I am not a true haberdasher, so I don't know what the term is for the shoulder-stitch they use on this item. If you look closely at the shoulder stitching in these photos you'll see the oblique and rounded track of the stitch. This makes it very comfortable to wear, it feels free in the shoulder and I think it probably helps it from looking too boxy.
This item is true-to-fit. I am a large, 43 inch in the chest so with the 42-44 measurement it's a little fitted thru the chest, but not snug and gives me plenty of room to move. 34/35 is my sleeve length and it fits perfectly on me. The size guide puts the waist at 36-38 on large, I'm more of a 34 so it's a little loose thru the midsection but NOT baggy. Still true-to-fit. It's not slim fitted which is good in my opinion, anyway. Despite it being loose thru my midsection it still looks good and feels good to wear. There are 4 vertical stitches that run the from the bottom of the armpit to the bottom of the garment, on the front and back, the left and right. This keeps the entire piece together vertically so it doesn't feel loose or baggy. I really notice the vertical structure when I'm taking it on and off. It's a quality worth admiring.
