Heavenly textures marry timeless rustic style in the Alaskan, a hooded coat that brings warmth and beauty to every chilly day. It’s crafted from curly Merino sheepskin, distinguished by a cozy short-sheared curly fleece interior and a distressed jungle suede exterior finish. But the spotlight belongs on the lush, naturally curly Tigrado sheepskin that lines the generous hood and trims the coat’s hem, cuffs, pockets, and front edges with its unbeatable softness. Finishing this gorgeous design are fur-out seams, two slip pockets, and toggle-button closures.

Can all of your jackets get wet? water/snow....will it stain ?

ANSWER:

While sheepskin can be worn in the rain or snow, it's best not to fully saturate it with moisture.

Just what I've always wanted

Finally bit the bullet and bought a sheepskin coat. I knew I had to spend money to get the quality I was looking for, and Overland was just the company to deliver. The shipping was incredibly fast- less than 48 hours from ordering and I had the coat! I ordered the size based on their chart, and it's perfect, with a little extra room for a long sleeve underneath. It's just beautiful. I appreciate the quality wood hanger and breathable coat bag included. Really a class operation. I had high expectations for the price, and they were exceeded. Customer service responded to my email within minutes, also, which is hard to get these days. If quality sheepskin products are what you're looking for, look no further.

So Beautiful!

Once I found out there was an Overland store in Portsmouth it took me less than a week to go check it out. I already own 3 Overland coats plus slippers, gloves, boots, a couple throw pillows - the list goes on. I had no intention of buying another coat - and then I tried on the Alaskan. I can't say enough about how gorgeous this coat is. It's supple, it's warm, it's soft, it's surprisingly light weight and it took me less than a minute to decide this would be my 4th Overland. It might even be my favorite. Just beautiful.

Go for it

Is it pricey? Yes, but you are worth it! By the size guide, I should be a small, but I ordered a medium, and it is perfect! I am (almost) looking forward to cooler weather now.

Lovely coat

This is the most beautiful coat I have ever owned!! It is sooo warm and snuggly with a touch of wilderness about it. Quality of this coat is superb.....I will wear with attitude!!

So glad I made the purchase

Like a few others have written in their reviews, I have never spent so much on a single garment in my life. I debated for a week on whether or not to make the purchase, but ultimately decided to go ahead. This was my gift to myself and recognition of a promotion at work. I'm so glad that I did it. You will feel like a princess. Not only is it soft and warm it is also very flattering. Having experienced less expensive leather coats I was afraid that it was going to make me look boxy and fat. I am only 5 foot two inches so garments that are in a square shape can tend to just make me look dumpy. This coat makes me feel and look exquisite. The only downside of the coat is that it makes my upper half so warm that it now has me saving to buy a full version.

Great Anniversary Gift

The quality is great, but the shipping box was poor. When arriving at my house it had a hole the size of a man's foot in the side of the box and when opening the box, it was only in a plastic bag with part of the fir hanging out. I was so disappointed thinking it was soiled but after closer examination nothing was found. If I was sending such an expensive item, I would have double boxed it to ensure the coat's arrival in pristine condition.

Beautiful Coat! I Love It!!

I tried this coat on in the Taos store. Ordered it, got it within 2 days. After I got it though I was second guessing whether I should have gotten a size smaller. Talked to Customer Service, who were amazing, and decided to return and exchange. The return and exchange process could not have been easier! Had my new smaller coat within a few days. It is absolutely beautiful and the workmanship and quality is unbelievable! I cannot wait until I am able to wear it. Thank you so much to the staff and customer service for making this purchase such a wonderful experience!!
