Customer Service Representative (Seasonal)

Location:  Fairfield, IA

The customer service representative will provide detailed and accurate information to customers in response to inquiries about products via phone, live chat, and email. Strong communication skills creating positive interactions with customers is an essential part of this job. Our mission is to exceed the expectations of our customers, every day. Some responsibilities include:
  • Effectively manage large amounts of incoming phone calls, chats, and emails simultaneously, promptly and thoroughly.
  • Identify and assess customers’ needs to deliver top-quality service and satisfaction.
  • Build sustainable relationships of trust through open and interactive communication with customers by going above and beyond to engage them.
  • Provide accurate, valid, and complete information about our products.
  • Handle customer complaints providing appropriate solutions and alternatives within time limits to ensure resolutions are in the best interest of both the customer and the company.
  • Follow communication procedures, guidelines, and policies.

This is a seasonal full-time, hourly position with flexible scheduling and extended retail hours during the busy season. Pay rate of $15 per hour. This job may require early morning or evening shifts. In addition, weekend and holiday work is also common. The time frame is August to late February; working 10-15 hours/week during training, then 20-40+ hours/week (2-3-hour evening shifts and 9-10 hour shifts) in-season. Seasonal hours begin around October 1, where Customer Service is available from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday – Sunday. This position is based in Overland’s Fairfield, IA headquarters. .NET Developer

Location:  Fairfield, IA

Overland is looking to hire a full-time .NET Developer in Fairfield, IA.

Responsibilities include:
  • Translate business use cases into functional applications
  • Design, build, and maintain reusable and reliable code
  • Troubleshoot and resolve user reported bugs and bottlenecks
  • Work closely with designers, internal business users, and other developers
  • Testing products in controlled, real situations before launching
Desired Skills:
  • Proficient in C#, ASP.NET, and Entity Framework
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming
  • Experience with JavaScript, AJAX, jQuery, Bootstrap, ASP.NET Web Forms, and Web API
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server tools, TSQL, stored procedures, views, etc.

Retail Store Positions

The Sales Associate is responsible for:
  • Providing exceptional customer service
  • Building long-lasting customer relationships
  • Maintaining sales goals and performance expectations
  • Assisting in keeping the store stocked, merchandised, clean and inviting
The Sales Associate skill set:
  • Must be able to assist with shipping and receiving
  • Ability to spend 100% of working time standing, walking, moving in the store, reaching, bending, and light lifting
  • Retail sales experience
  • Communication, interpersonal relationships
  • Proficient with computer and POS systems
  • Cash handling

The Sales Associate may be requested to perform additional tasks in specific situations to achieve our customer service and operational goals. Scheduling includes a mix of day and night shifts, 7 days a week and Holidays.
