Marketing & Communications Assistant

LOCATION: FAIRFIELD, IA

Overland is looking to hire a Marketing & Communications assistant to join the Web team. Applicants should be interested in helping to market clothing and home pieces and keep up-to-date on trends in the fashion and shelter spaces. We’re looking for someone that’s passionate about social media and the unique opportunity it provides for one-to-one engagement with a brand. The department is growing and there is room for quick advancement.

This is a full-time and in-office position for $20 per hour.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist in day-to-day operations of existing and yet to be launched social media channels: Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, TikTok
  • Manage social media content scheduling, tagging, and publishing on an on-going basis
  • Work closely with the Art Director & Marketing Coordinator to bringing the brand’s voice to life on social
  • Create social-ready assets under the guidance of the Marketing Coordinator
  • Identify opportunities to partner with influencers
  • Compile data on each social account’s engagement metrics
  • Assist in organizing and sending samples for influencer partnerships, in-house photoshoots, and external editor requests
  • Research trends related to partnerships and campaigns deployed by other brands
  • Develop copy for social posts and social-first ad campaigns
  • Help with proofing of direct mail pieces (seasonal catalogs) and marketing emails
  • Seasonally, offer extra support to the Customer Service team when requested
Desired Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree or higher in marketing, communications, or liberal arts related major
  • Ability to work within a team environment and communicate effectively with other people
  • Advanced Proficiency in Photoshop
  • Experience with MS Excel and Power Point
  • Willing to learn Google Analytics
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • 1-2 years’ work experience in a customer-facing position

Retail Store Positions

Locations:  Aspen, CO, Telluride, CO, Durango, CO, Denver, CO, and Napa, CA

The Sales Associate is responsible for:

  • Providing exceptional customer service
  • Building long-lasting customer relationships
  • Maintaining sales goals and performance expectations
  • Assisting in keeping the store stocked, merchandised, clean and inviting
The Sales Associate skill set:

  • Must be able to assist with shipping and receiving
  • Ability to spend 100% of working time standing, walking, moving in the store, reaching, bending, and light lifting
  • Retail sales experience
  • Communication, interpersonal relationships
  • Proficient with computer and POS systems
  • Cash handling

The Sales Associate may be requested to perform additional tasks in specific situations to achieve our customer service and operational goals. Scheduling includes a mix of day and night shifts, 7 days a week and Holidays.

.NET Web Developer

Location:  Fairfield, IA

Overland is looking to hire a full-time .NET Web Developer in Fairfield, IA.

Responsibilities include:

  • Translate business use cases into functional applications
  • Design, build, and maintain reusable and reliable code
  • Troubleshoot and resolve user reported bugs and bottlenecks
  • Work closely with designers, internal business users, and other developers
  • Testing products in controlled, real situations before launching
Desired Skills:

  • Proficient in C#, ASP.NET, and Entity Framework
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming
  • Experience with JavaScript, AJAX, jQuery, Bootstrap, ASP.NET Web Forms, and Web API
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server tools, TSQL, stored procedures, views, etc.
