Sadie Reversible Hooded Sheepskin Coat

I had a hard time looking at coats to decide what would give me the best warmth and ride in. The winter seemed colder than ever this year. I cannot put my gunbelt on and shoot courses but it is to leg-up, ride and also to wear out and about. I cannot say how much I love this coat and how sassy, versatile and beautiful it is. I wanted something darker being around horses, I did not want buttons to pull and wanted something as long as I thought I could go to keep me warm, to tighten around the neck up high while riding or caroling or driving my team, or out in town or on a date. Also to do minor chores on our ranch. It sat for 2 weeks as I pondered more coats and finally after on the phone with Overland helping me decided this is the one I am going to keep. Love that it is reversible too. For riding the length and toggle horn loops were key. I picked the coat for it's beauty and versatility. Note the white curly lamb is darker on my coat than it appears in the pictures which I was thankful for. I also have a little short, sexy cut Roberto Cavelli sheepskin that is tiny and asked if I could buy a hanger and bag for this coat (as I was not hanging it right and the retail on this coat is 5 figures - my most expensive coat) and they are amazing at Overland and just said they would send to me. I am getting on to buy my significant other a sheepskin - as he is freezing more than ever this year as well. I am an Overland customer for life and loving their things with plenty on the list from blankets, pillows, gifts for people, gloves, hats, scarves and more coats. Customer service helped me work on matching a hat and scarf for this coat for a good period of time. In this day and age of no human communication and only computers and chat bots, their customer service is top shelf.

I wore it for the first time and it shed all over my outfit. I called the store to see if there was something I could do to slow the shedding down and they suggested dry cleaning. While I do not mind having a coat cleaned when needed, do you have any idea how much it is to clean this coat???

I was debating on buying it but I just didn't know how it might look at me. But I'm glad that I bought it, it fits perfect and very warm. Highly recommend this website for purchases I have 3 coats and they are all perfect.

Of all the coats I tried on, and I do believe I tried them all, the Sadie fit my 5'2" frame without overwhelming me. Soft and silky, warm without bulk. The pictures on the website does not do this coat justice. My advice, go to the store and try on the coats, it is the only good way to know what suits you best. Buy from the brick and mortar. Mark was so patient with my son and I as we tried on multiple coats multiple times. He was so helpful and kind. Short story long: Taking the scenic route from Denver to Albuquerque, we stumbled, literally, on to the Overland Taos store. The coat I had been dreaming of owning for more years than I can even count, the Chantal, was at hand. Sadly it overwhelmed my petite frame. As badly as I wanted the Chantal coat, it was not flattering on me. It took hours for me to let go of the dream and consider another coat, then hours to try on all the other coats. I am so happy with the Sadie and I will wear this far more, as I feel so comfortable in it. Special thanks to the sales gal with the dog, that suggested taking our picture by the truck. What a pleasant unplanned experience.

...And finally after over a year I decided I could not live without it. The shearling is soft and warm. I love the hood! How fantastic that it is 2 coats in 1!! Both the shearling and sheepskin side are beautiful and stylish. My only disappointment is that I did not buy this sooner. Will definitely last a lifetime.

This coat is extremely heavy. Wish Overland would do this coat with the shearling on the outside and a thinner lining on the inside. Returned the coat for a larger size in order to wear with sweaters. Very beautiful!

I love the fun and warm style of the Sadie reversible hooded shearling coat. It is warm, stylish and I love that the pockets are also sheepskin.

I love the jacket. Both the look and fit are so 'me' !

I was looking forward to getting this coat and sadly really disappointed in the quality. I have other leather Jackets that are amazing. This coat just didn't equate to the cost. Some of the seams were stretched thin having the potential to rip and tear. I returned the coat however not deterred from buying another style.
