Unique and Gorgeous!
I mull about pricey purchases for awhile. This one for at least a year! In part because the temps in the winter in Seattle are moderate - 40s, maybe 30s or colder for a month or so, and the thought that this coat would be overkill.
I've tried a handful of Overland sheepskin coats over the past year too. Even got this one previously, but did not like the "drape" of the large collar on me. But I kept coming back to it while considering other coats, so decided to try it again knowing that sometimes even garments of the same size and style fit differently. I'm 5'7" and generally a size 6. I got a medium first, then decided to try a small. I liked the fit of the small best. The arms are snug, not that my arms are super muscular, but I do workout regularly; the rest of the coat fits great, with plenty of room.
I had it for the coldest months this year, and it was so practical for them. I can't imagine getting cold in this coat. Even when it's in the 40s, I'll wear it if I'm walking a shorter distance, such as around the block with my dog, since otherwise I'd get too hot.
It is a wonderful treat to wear it. I've forgotten about it, and gone to grab a coat, and realize I could wear it, and do. It's like an unexpected treat in my day.
I've been out and about with it and a unique pair of Overland lace up boots before, and the combination literally turned heads, and garnered some compliments from people I did not know.
It is lovely and practical. It is also moderately priced versus some of the other longer coats I was considering. No regrets. Hopefully you don't wait as long as I did to pull the trigger on purchasing this coat - otherwise you're missing out on luxuriating in this gorgeous, sassy coat!
