Ryan Sheepskin Jacket

The Ryan sheepskin is the perfect weight for 55 degrees and below. I can use this from Fall until early spring. The color and styling should stand the test of time. I'll be able to use this for years. I bought in size 38 and I typically wear a size 40 sport coat. The sleeves were a bit long so I rolled them up to reveal the sheepskin and it enhances the look of the jacket.

If you're interested in versatile pieces that will last forever, look no further. Excited to wear this every fall / winter from here on out. Unreal quality. Maybe slightly more flashy than I'd like but also very subtle at the same time.

It is a beautiful jacket. Everyone who sees it remarks on how attractive it is. It's hanging in its bag in my closet until the weather is cool enough to wear it. And I plan to wear it a lot. One small concern is that the leather collar is too "floppy" for my taste. I would prefer that it stand up more. (For a jacket of this quality and price I am not ashamed to be picky :) Customer service told me that the leather will naturally stiffen over time and that I should be sure to zip it all the way up to shape it to my liking. Sounds like a plan!

I use it to go to the office and going out for dinner with a nice shirt. Plenty warm. I would like to see a better inside pocket on the next one.

Very nice coat. Keeps me warm on these frigid days. The fleece lines the arms as well as the body of the coat. Heavy duty zipper woks smoothly. Does have hand warmer pockets. I use this daily. Have not had in rain. Supposed to be water resistant but have been afraid to wear in wet weather. Would definitely buy again.

I love the jacket, except for the little pockets. It fits to a tee and is a very nice coat. I wish it had bigger pockets and an inside pocket for my cell as well.

I weigh around 160 lbs/ 5'10 and the size 40 fits great. The quality is very good, and the coat is warm in cold and windy weather. It's also lightweight, which makes it convenient. Would recommend to others.

So far have used this as an outdoor jacket (tested so far from 32-5x F), a sweater indoors, and a blanket. No attached hood and a relatively high cut (you can cup the bottom edge of it like a blazer in your hands) means this is not the garment of choice in high winds from the north, but it works at least from freezing to the 50's F, no problem. Towards freezing I add a scarf, so I don't have to zip all the way. This jacket is very comfortable even in short sleeve shirts most of the time. Most annoying thing about it is that on the right collar tip, it tends to curl up a bit in the down position, which messes up my hat flaps slightly. Not quite as successful for indoor wear as outdoors because the natural folds in the leather tend to stick the wool side into the arm a bit if they're bare such as with short sleeve shirts. Easily solved with a long-sleeved shirt of natural fibers (I tried a Cold Gear shirt one time and that destroyed the breathability of the combined ensemble resulting in unpleasant warmth). Using it like a light blanket resulted in a pleasant nap. Aesthetically, the pics here don't show the pleasing contrast between the gray colored wool/fur at the collar and cuffs against the brown of the leather side. I wear both visibly at all times, and it's strange that they don't show it that way in a single picture. There's really only one pic that shows the fur side color and only if you're looking closely.
