It’s fashioned in smooth naturally water resistant Portuguese wool felt, and embellished with a braided leather bolo cord that slides through the eyelets as a handy chinstrap to anchor the hat on windy days, while the wide, flat brim shades you from the rays. 100% Portuguese Wool.

Took the Leap!

I've been eyeing this hat for months. I have a big head and appreciated sizes to accommodate. The quality is everything I've grown to expect from Overland from the moment I tried on my new jacket. I just wish I had more opportunity to wear it out! Love it!

Handsome, but too big

Expensive and just does not have"it". Sizing felt off, so it did not sit right on my head. It missed that magical quality I usually find in all my other Overland purchases. I was trying to replace a well loved 25 year + gaucho hat from Spain, so it was perhaps a long shot...

I love that this hat comes in sizes. I have a small head, and the one I ordered fits perfectly. The ties will be very useful when it's windy. I wore my new hat yesterday and was glad not to be wearing a summer straw hat in late October. It will be useful for most of the year.

Wanted a topper for my gaucho pants and boots but several I tried were ONE SIZE FITS ALL. Overland's sized hat 🎩 is perfect! Nice touch is the embellished pull on the hat cord.

Beautiful hat, chinstrap feels cheap though

Hat is beautiful and I love the simple shape. The brim size is also great. However, the chinstrap feels very cheap. Overland reassured me it's real leather but it feels like a vinyl of some sort. The chin strap is also extremely lightweight and flimsy so it kind of coils up. I ended up keeping the hat because it's hard to find cute hats With chin straps- I live in a windy place and it's a must. Really too bad though. The hat would be unreal with a real leather chinstrap. Such a miss.
