Details

Lightweight but wonderfully warm, the Julia wool wrap lends traditional southwestern flair to your everyday look. Inspired by Navajo designs, this earthy yet elegant layering piece is crafted from baby alpaca wool, a soft and insulating wool that’s perfect for cozying up with on chilly evenings.
  • 100% alpaca wool
  • Hand washable
  • One size

“Baby Alpaca” refers to the fineness of the alpaca wool—not the age of the animal—and is one of the softest grades of alpaca wool, most often compared to Merino wool in feel. Softer, lighter, and warmer than sheep’s wool, baby alpaca wool is naturally water-repellent and a thermal insulator, even when wet. Because alpaca wool contains no lanolin, it’s also hypoallergenic and can be worn next to the skin (it doesn’t cause that “scratchy” feeling in those sensitive to regular wool products). Over 80% of alpaca wool comes from Peru, supporting over 50,000 families living in the Andes mountains; it is widely considered one of the most eco-friendly natural fibers.

Question:
I'm 5'2 will the length be too long since it's one size fits all

Gorgeous and Functional Wrap!

The colors are rich blend of bright red, burgundy, tan, and black in a gorgeous Navajo pattern. I'm 5'10" with broad shoulders and find that the length is perfect. It's lightweight and warm. I'll be packing it for a trip to Spain in November -- perfect for cool weather and can be rolled easily to fit into a medium-sized backpack for warm afternoons.

Gorgeous Wrap

I love this wrap, colors are gorgeous and material is warm and soft. I wear with jeans and boots or black leggings and turtleneck with silver jewelry. It is outstanding and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Beautiful but slightly itchy

4 5

I have been wanting this for a while and it is beautiful. I ordered the cape with aqua or really turquoise. It has a nice drape and the one size fits most applies. I would just say it is wool and it's slightly itchy for someone with sensitive skin. I had a shirt underneath but a crew neck style and this may require more dress shirt as shown on model so prevent direct contact with skin if you are sensitive. Just wish it had some alpaca or cashmere to make it softer.

Beautiful workmanship

Warm , lightweight and washable! Finished on both sides. There was a hole in the area where the Overland tag tore away on one layer of the fabric. Maybe use a different way to label this cape instead of stitching it in.

Beautiful!

As always, the quality is excellent. I wear ruanas most of the winter, but I suspect this one will get a lot of wear time because the colors are so vibrant, yet subtle at the same time. I can't wait for the cold weather!
